Fit a tank, watch local, set standings on known corporations of gankers, watch D-Scan, don't be AFK. It's all been spelled out here on the forums and everywhere else.

Speaking from experience (Never lost a Hulk to enemy forces, and once to my own stupidity), the only thing you really need to do is stay aligned and keep your speed at 25%

How do you fight back in highsec? You can't destroys their destroyers before they start their gank attempt without being Concorded.

And ever tried to target destroyer with BC/BS? Gank is over before you get it locked. And using a cloak doesn't really help.

I've been saying all day that there are enough people tired off all this bullying that they could form a huge alliance and actually take the fight to the gankers. BUt you and I both know they have no interest in doing that. They only care about making more isk while being as afk as possible.

I'm sure gankers know a lot about this game and how aggression mechanics in highsec work. Wardecing them would be stupid. They would only dock their griefer alts and play their nullsec mains.

people flying hulks are at a huge disadvantage I do not characterizing them as noobs......they are simply easy targets. So perhaps if you look at it another way....the ganker is probably more a noob than the hulk pilot for having to take out easy targets to boost their ego's and kill stats.

There are probably some noobs in hulk as there are in every ship type....good luck knowing the difference. There are so many factors that may have awarded you your kill. If it is a hulk bear in mind that you went into it with much of the odds in your favor.

ganker tears?

The hulk pilot is at no less of a disadvantage than people in combat ships find themselves in sometimes. That drake ratting in that belt may well be bait and your 1 vs 1 suddenly turns into a 1 vs 10. You're doing a low sec mission with a PvE fit and rat agro when someone jumps you. The fight you thought would be even turns out not to be because the other guy has a T3 booster sitting at a POS somewhere. The guy that was supposed to be alone has a cyno and suddenly you're fighting 3 carriers. Those are just a few examples. Don't act like miners are the only ones who get in impossible to win fights. Everyone does. 90% of PvP is knowing how to avoid those fights. Miners aren't going to be killing anyone, but they're certainly not defenseless. A PvPer (a real one, not an F1 slave from 0.0) could hop in an untanked hulk and fly around during hulkageddon without dying easily. Miners just never bother to develop the skills to avoid fights.

You can also mine in missions. The ganker isn't going to bother to scan you down where there are other miners right over there in the belts. Mining in low population systems helps too. There are plenty of other tricks as well.

- Haven't flown any "target ships" during Hulkageddons
- Can flipping never works. You can try it, but you just waste your time.
- I know how to keep local in its own window and how to use d-scan (long and short range).

If you fit a decent tank to a Hulk, it can take 3 Tornados to gank it. Set your d-scan to 500,000km, and if you see multiple Tornados or other common ganking ships on it: align out, and then warp out when they land.

Behold a 0.0 sec miner that doesn't know how to tank a hulk either appearantly. This was one of three that showed up on the kill boards. All were poorly tanked.
