I have one question guys!

I'm actually living in a C5 (it's ind a new) and my corp is going to escalad them properly soon,

But i 'm curious if any of you C5-C6 pros can tell me :

if i have a BS (abaddon) with 3 ECM(racial) or a Scorpion with a full rack of ECM will sleeper aggro him over a Dread in siege mod? or is the dread always primary? and what about triage carrier?

Thank's!

A lot will depend on the position of the jamming ship in relation to the dread and sleepers. You may have trouble keeping a scorpion alive against a full escalation depending on how buffered it is, whether your using triage or not on the carrier and if you have armor links running or not.

I know about the Scorpion's buffer,

So what you say is if the scorp is between the sleeper and the dread he will get the aggro?

Usually, the sleepers will go for the bs before the dread. For some reason, they're all "Oh look an easier target" and happily shoot away at it.

So Scorpion would take all aggro?

who cares, if youre doing them 'properly' as you say, you don't use any BSs at all.

There is no Bob.

While sleepers do usually evaluate targets based on how much dps they do and how squishy they are - for escalation waves they factor sig radius and a multiplier for ewar primarily and there seems to be a modifier for proximity to.

A scorpion sitting between a dread and the sleepless guardians would tend to get aggression more often than one sitting behind the dread away from the sleepers.

It is entirely possible to spawn all 4 waves of an escalation with 2 carriers + 2+ dreads and have a scorpion survive the damage if it is properly fit. I like to use 3 dreads, 1 carrier, 2 webbers and a scorp and it makes escalations cake. Rarely are the T3/Rapiers/Huginns targeted and the Scorp keeps all the aggro.

It is just a nice feeling to know your capitals will almost never be targeted.

So do you have a scorp fit that you use? or is it a huge troll?

What i heard is that even 2 wave kills very fast!

I would appreciate if you could describe you'r tactique précisely please!

=)

thank's a lot mate!

None truly knows how the aggro mechanics work with sleepers. I've noticed that they sometimes do go for the easier targets. If you bring something in that can't handle it / your reps cant keep him alive, its not a good idea.

Also, BSs are fine on the non-escalated waves, they're good low-risk DPS, they are unnecessary, but fine.

Basically my scorp fit is armor tanked, lows and rigs and ecm in the mids, highs... i don't really care

I would just take all aggro all then time so the logi can logo for long periods....

^^'

i will try it my self cause it smells like trolling in the air... I don't want to risk any capitals of my corp for fun!

There is no way that you can hold aggro, they will change almost randomly, you need to have cap transfers ready when they switch onto your logi as well.

even with 8 ECM on them they won't primary me?

yeah don't worry about the logis!

My only desire is to find out how to keep aggro on 1 ship if that's possible, and i read many times that the scorpion's ECM is kinda the thing they hate, well i'm aware the scorp has a paper tank but if we manage the rep sleeper shouldn't blow it up... it can tank an alpha of an wave of 8 and is this tactic works he gets reps all the time...

I put a sensitive mod on my Titan,
So when I hit the fat button it sucks it's mushroom head in and easily slips through The C5

That way we can escalate the static!
