Client flickers serveral times and does not load

So I click the Play button eve loads flickers 3 or 4 times but does not load! I have to alt+enter to get it into window mode and soon as I try to do full screen it all locks up and I have to alt+enter again.....

I have tried removing all cache folders/settings etc and run the repair tool, I have also reinstalled eve online twice! (second time with a new download of eve)

I have tried reinstalling the graphics card I have upto date directx drivers etc.

So I'm stuck playing in window mode.... Eve is the only game I'm having issue's with.

Computer:
HP Pavillion dv6 (6b59ea)
I5 2430M @ 2.4GHz
AMD RADEON 6490M (1GB) (Also has an intel based card switchable)
4GB Ram

I also have the intel based card switchable graphics, however I have mine set to fixed in the BIOS so the GPU is always on unless I turn it off.

Anyways, I have figured out how to get into the game, and if you start eve in windowed mode it will work and won't have the weird yellow color issue. However for myself, and hopefully not for you, the game runs terribly slow. I'm talking 15 fps on medium settings slow. As if it's not even running on the GPU. At some point the screen lags out and I get the scary version of eve where everything clones itself forever. It's driving me nuts everything worked until a BIOS update.

HOWEVER, after getting sick of ATI driver support I booted up mass effect 3 at full settings. Guess what I get 50 fps at full settings 1920x1080.

Something is wrong here... is it HP? or is it EVE?

Commander Criton Surrender The Booty Likes received: 2	#3 - 2012-05-06 15:13:41 UTC 1 I have the same results I alt enter and it works in window mode but sometimes not all the time the graphics is green/yellow overlay to it. I also have change my grahpics to fixed mode so that when its on ac power it uses the ati gpu and guess what the performance in eve is really bad! 15/22 fps. But I can play APB and Terra etc on high settings with no issue's.
