[Ferox, 100MN AB]

5x Heavy Missile Launcher II (Scourge Fury Heavy Missile)

3x Kinetic Deflection Field II
Thermic Dissipation Field II
100MN Afterburner II

4x Ballistic Control System II

3x Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

5x Hobgoblin II

Stats according to EVEHQ:
378DPS w/drones
138DPS Tank against Guristas
92.75% Kinetic and 72% Thermal resists
867m/s
Cap Stable @ 50%

I did it because I could, no alcohol involved lol. I ran the Guristas version of Intercept the Saboteurs, not the most difficult I know but it's what was offered and what I had time to do. I kited the ships at between 40-45km to keep my drones in range and only dipped below half shields once when I cut a turn to quick and dropped below 400m/s with groups 1 and 2 aggro'ed at about 30km. Hope to run some more missions with it for sh*ts and giggles. I didn't keep an accurate log of how long it took to complete the mission but I was able to clear 2 Guristas dens and 2 Guristas hideaways in 2 different systems on the way to the mission site as well as completely clearing the mission and then a reshipping to my Noctis and salvage everything while still making the time bonus with about 45 minutes to spare.

So....Hot or Not?

Drake doesn't have enough power grid for a 100mn AB.

As for the fit, it looks hot to me, mini-100mn-ab-Tengu. Very creative.

It looks like one of those "just because you can, doesn't mean you should" ideas. If it works and you have fun with it, then go for it, I'm just slightly dubious.

But if we're going for crazy fits that just might work, behold the cloaky RR T3. I EFTed it one day as somewhat of a joke because of someone in F&I asking for a cloaky Logi hull for CovOps gangs, but this thing actually looks like it would work halfway decently.

Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Medium S95a Partial Shield Transporter

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Mjolnir Heavy Missile

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Tengu Defensive - Adaptive Shielding
Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix
Tengu Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration
Tengu Propulsion - Intercalated Nanofibers

Cap stable, 70k EHP, 500m/s, all resists 82%+
I haven't flown the thing myself, and likely never will, but it seems like it would work if you absolutely needed RR support for a cloaky gang.

You know they forgot to add a range bonus to actually make the T3 capable of doing a logi role without having to hug people's faces... otherwise the idea might be worth exploring from an out of the box perspective... shame......

I understand why they keep the base range of the module low to prevent every ship fitting it, but without a bonus to range its another no go potential "generalised" T3 fit.

Yeah, that's the biggest glaring hole in the fit, the lack of range on the RR. A 40% range/level bonus would be perfect, reaching out to 18km at lvl 5 (from the 6 that it is now) and making it a MUCH more viable fit without treading on Logi's toes (Logis have a 150% range/level bonus).

Though, actually, you can almost use Gistum A-Type shield boosters on the thing. You can fit them if you drop the HML, and they do give like 10% more reps, but they're not cap-stable with all 4 on, just three. They do have 6.5km range instead of 6 though.

Yeah, the T3 logi subsystem needs to be tweaked and DED RRs in general need to be fixed. It's certainly an interesting theory-crafting fit though, lol.

I beg to differ. Check out one of xBoPoHx's videos as well (forgot the Youtube account they're on), couple of 100mn AB Drakes.

So why do you think fitting an oversized AB will make your PvE experience any better than an additional 2 launchers and a 25% kinetic damage bonus?

Troll...

if not change missile launchers with 200 or 250 rails and ballistic controls with mfs II and answer your own question then...

I like the condor, used a similar fit as a nullsec taxi before I could fly covops. The arty loki looks fun, everything is better with vodka Big smile

For the haters, a new salvage buddy I been playin with. Replaces a Noctis on my second acct and warps in along side my main, I fly shield tanks mostly so it's linked for that but the fit is flexible. Myrm for the drone damage and ganglink bonuses.

[Myrmidon, Fleet Boost Salvage]

3x Salvager I
2x Small Tractor Beam I
Siege Warfare Link - Shield Harmonizing II

2x Kinetic Deflection Field II
Thermic Dissipation Field II
Remote Sensor Booster II (Scan Resolution Script)
Experimental 100MN Afterburner I

3x Capacitor Power Relay II
3x Nanofiber Internal Structure II

3x Medium Cargohold Optimization I

5x Hobgoblin II
5x Hammerhead II

Warp it in, assign the drones over to the main, activate the ReSeBo and begin salvaging. 100MN AB along with the lows gives it a solid 1000m/s and is cap stable. Gives plenty of spped to move between wrecks and quick enuff to pull range if it gets targeted giving time for main to transition targets. 3x2 salvage/tractor fit allows 2 wrecks to be pulled into wrange while salvaging a third. Since this travels with a missile boat it has plenty of time to salvage so doesn't require salvage rigs. If a wreck is stubborn it gets tractored along behind to the next wreck and/or has multiple salvagers running on it. Besides salvage rigs cause a hit to max velocity and I love me some maximum velocity.
