I've been where you are now SO many times.

Manhoris, Horemaha, Shiek Urbooti, and Stikit Enya.... ALL gone now.

I've quit, cursed the game, cursed the people, and cursed myself.

But I've ALWAYS come back....

Because NO game gives you the rush, the freedom, the flat out FUN EVE online does.....

So, Mittani and Tyrax, keep doing what you do

This game and expecially the forums are choking full of 40 MALE olds who failed in real life, live on welfare or are brown nosing their alpha male boss at work.

EvE is THE place where they go and vent off their frustations and utter failure, where they can finally take their impotent revenge on the undefended children or the handicapped.

Look at the bright side: if they did not have a video game where to vomit their worst behaviors, they'd sooner or later explode and do something as vile in real life.

EvE is an asylum, a little virtual hell.


Even then, if you digged under the mountains of manure, you'd find hidden gems, both of knowledge and humanity. But it takes :effort:

I totally agree with the OP, regarding the chat behaviour of some really stupid kiddies, annoying smacktalk, tasteless personal insults, scamming-spam - this has to stop.

EVE is rated for 12 or older, i would'nt let my 13 year old son play this game, but when i look into the forums and ingame chats, it appears that more and more uneducated, silly and sociopathic gettokids are playing.

You have just been playing around the wrong people, the type of people you are describing are actually a tiny minority. Crying on the forums about it will just be laughed at tbh and it has been seen a hundred times before.

Eve is what YOU make it, not what everyone else makes it for you, you just need the strength of will to make it what you want. The weak only want everythign to be made ok for tehm, so they end up leaving. That is WHY Eve is so good, YOU rule your game, no one else does.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

CCP knows what they've created. Sociologists are probably having a field day looking at us little rats scuttling around their Icelandic maze. "Hmm, I wonder what happens when we don't allow society to form the organisations capable of meaningful sanctions (politicians, law enforcement, judges, prisons/fines) which all normal human societies spontaneously create?"

For all the fun and mayhem though, I bet CCP is keeping a close eye on the economics. If griefing decreases player numbers they'll take steps to reign it in. If griefing gets enough e-mag articles generated for free marketing to compensate for a small decrease in subscribers (those who reach the OP's position) then CCP will continue to slow-clap the griefers from Jove space. In this respect it may be that Burn Jita was a failure, as people are quitting the game but there hasn't been much free publicity generated.

To the OP: keep your character, you've just been in the wrong places. There are plenty of great corporations out there. For a big love-in group of people go for RvB, for instance.

A good tip: never assume! Never said I was good at PvP, in fact I'm bad at it. Don't live in lowsec to PvP, but for the friendly folk & the joy (yes, I play Eve for fun) I like the feeling of constant danger & being on constant guard. You're free to hop over, use your locater agent Blink Just don't expect me to fight you, if you want to kill me, you'll have to do it like anyone else in lowsec: scan me down or trap me at a gate.

In an unmoderated environment you have as much influence as anyone else. If you don't like the atmosphere you could work to change it.

Other MMO's populations peak shortly after launch and decline constantly from there. Eve is the only MMO with an increasing population 9 years after launch. You are objectively wrong.
