Unsubbed. Fed up, tired of being surrounded by hostile childish people that like to toss any and all values out the window. I'm not burned out with the game, it's just the type of players that rule this game.

*snip* — ISD Grossvogel

No I've not been an afk miner without a tank, upset with hulkageddon, or burn jita, or a bitter victim of a suicide gank on the ultimate mission boat, or hisec wardecs vs indy corps, or whatever. It's the people I'm tired of, the atmosphere you create. No you can't have my stuff. G'bye.

It is a game, but not your game, so you're crying.

Don't worry, give those two excellent players your stuff.

Good luck, former EVE Online Player.

Pirates of the Burning Sea for PvP. It's the same in terms of burn it to the ground but you can roll out a new ship in 3 days or so if you manage your econ.
For PvE make a choice, there is plenty to chose from.

It isn't so much that the grief is in EVE. it's more that CCP spend so much time kissing their ass and make it impossible to progress in the game without adopting the crab bucket game play style.

My advice, however a bit late is to just travel from region to region, stay there for a week or so & move on. Do this till you found a place that feels home. I did the same, and living my Eve life happy in a region with nice folks (be warned, nice is not similar to harmless, it's lowsec and they enjoy blasting others, they just not give in to smacktalk)

Edit: If you hit me up ingame, I could poke you to a few helpfull channels, just keep in mind that to keep these channels friendly, they are moderated.

Serious answer: you clearly have (tried to) meet only the wrong people in game.

Serious question: would it be possible to get your isk and items contracted.to the character writing this?

Get classic forum style - custom videos to captains quarters screen

I do agree with you man, ultimately its the western society we live in that has produced what you experienced in Eve, I'd say be a solo gamer, and don't have ANY RL friends who play Eve, Works for me ;)

This game hasn't been much of a game for the last couple of years now, I agree. I take a break every few months just to get away from the other players, not because I get burned out myself. After all, there is only so much mindless rhetoric and play acting one can take before you have to look at some people and say, "You need to step back and take a break, you're getting a little too serious about this game." Case in point, Mr Mittani at Fanfest. The fact that most people didn't react to the contrary to what he said just says that Eve is a game that lets you get away with being an asshat.

The atmosphere of the game has changed alot in the last four years, from one of "Eve is hard, and your choices have consequences" to somehow creating an entire welfare nation that feels entitled to making the game what they want, not what the game is or should be. Metagaming is probably the number one cause, but stupid little mistakes along the way have only helped this along. What was once special is now as common as the flies zipping about the dumpster. The players are so bored that they are making their own events, all the while diluting the spirit of the game's foundation.

I don't blame the OP, really. I blame the easy path that Eve has been on lately. Sadly, i don't see that changing unless CCP steps in and brings the hammer down. Of course, the metagamers would get all sand in their vag if CCP actually did what needs to be done through metagaming. So the game will keep on its slow spiral, wounded and ever hemorraging. For some, they couldn't be happier about it, as CCP does a little song and dance routine for them in some unholy union that will end up badly for CCP. I'm fine with that, because that will be the unltimate consequence in a game that once touted it's dogma of consequence, but now enjoys a more EZ mode philosophy, complete with built in jackasses.

sucks when the trolls come out. and i have to agree with those that are abit more serious about the game. If you are having a bad experience in one area move on and find another one play around if you do not like it move to another till you find the one you enjoy.

About the same thing with many Corps you may be looking at joining. take your time many have open chat rooms for you to jump in and get the feel of things if it is a worthwhile group to hang out with.

I think i will be nice and have someone from in game send ya an eve mail give it a few days.

Well for one when a player can take a 1.6 mil ISk ship and blow up a 300 mil ISk ship using a throw away alt - that is a problem. I am all for blowing crap up, but one thing that does not make sense and the null seccers scream risk -vs - reward all the time and yet if there was ever irony in that statement it is the ease at which someone can take zero risk and be able to grief people unchecked.

Then why the **** do people keep flying the 300mil ships?
