Headset feedback only when EVE is running.

The feedback only happens when eve is running, and if i minimize the game window it stops. I have tried all the settings in game audio, with no effect. As i write this my headset sounds perfectly silent, but if i were to start up EVE i get non stop crackling and popping.

Normally i play with music blasting in the background, but now that i want to communicate with corp mates with voice this is becoming a real issue.

Any ideas, tips, or can someone point me in the right direction? I should also mention i tried turtle beach, nothing on the known issues side, waiting on an email back.
