I once lost a Punisher to Burning Down the Hive. Such an evil mission to throw in newbies faces :(

Lost a tengu once in a mission because I got careless and didn't realize a couple of the 16 or so webbing frigs on me had me scrammed. The mission was already a little dicy, as there was alot of EM fire going around and had to keep my photon scattering field heated. Even worst, I panicked after I did realize the scramming and burned out my launchers just as I put the last scram frig into structure.

I also lost a prorator to a gate spawn when my internet card crashed. Tried to relog in time, but wound up in my pod 1mil km off gate. Sucked 'cause I had some max me/pe bpo's onboard.

I lost a nighthawk once as stupid as that is since they are damn near impossible to kill in a mission. Was when I first got it warped into WC serp side got scrammed phone rang and took it and some how aggroed two groups... Oh well must have targeted the lower group by mistake and got hammered like a gong at dinner time. I was way to confident in my shield and as the saying goes "He who pays no attention will soon pay" ok I made that up but still LOL.

Loss is a huge part of EvE. It makes the game more excting, since you can lose that ship you spend 3 months (or even longer) to buy/train/fit in a moment if you're not paying attention.

Either learn that your ships will eventually get popped, or QQ on the forums more. Space is cold, very cold.

Faction fit Sleipnir on Buzz Kill. Lesson: never, ever leave your XL booster on autorepeat. Especially if you're going to completely **** up the triggers and spawn the tackle wave and the BS wave just before running out of cap.

bunch of catalysts in burning down the hive (damn you, scrambling drones!)

quite a few myrms and domis (got into bigger ships far too soon)

and an afk rattle during a cosmos mission, bunch of bombers in FW and a few VERY close calls while doing epic arcs in almost glasscannon fitted vindi/mach/nightmare/navy domi

oh and 2 noctis while being drunk, salvaging on-the-go and watching the other screen to save the ass of said faction BS aboveLol

the most important part about this though is not to go around whining cause your ship went boom, but rather "nononononono **** **** warp out **** HOBGOBLINS Y U NO SHOOT THE ******* SCRAMMING FRIG *insurance mail popup* oh well, learned a lesson from that, time to go to jita and buy a new one"

Tengu once whilst pissed in a 10/10, couldn't even focus on the screen so it came as no suprise when the ship went pop! Smile

Lost a Vargur once.

Just set up a new pc, and decided to test flying a L4. Vid card went into a reboot-loop, and after rebooting the comp I found my pod next to a 1b wreck.

Annoying, but **** happens :)

Lost a Drake on AP (on other char) to Gallente police since I forgot her low standings ..

For the rest just a few Kestrels (1st ship I missioned with for a time), a destroyer and two assault frigates. Managed to warp out all the other badly damaged bigger ships just in time, it's quite exciting to have 20% hull left and your ship is burning!! :-)

Lost a Navy Dominix on my first four ever. Didn't think anything of the swarm of frigates orbiting me until I saw the now-familiar scramble effect. Worst part is, it was a birthday present from a friend. My most embarassing loss, was my first Legion. It was just really bad luck, and poor planning. Was using heavy pulse lasers, and only one tracking computer, no web. Couldn't track the scramble frigs, and got popped on my third mission in it. That's why I used missiles now.

Nightmare (faction + deadspace fit) - to Rogue Drone patrol
Rattlesnake, tengu (faction + deadspace fit) - to rogue drone escalation 10/10

It was pretty funny Lol

PS: the most funnyest loss is - my second Myrmidon to caldari faction when i entered caldari terrotory with -6 standings. I was "WTF?????" when i got message about my future troubles and wasn't able to do anything to survive.... Lol

Megathron was my 1st npc loss.

Entirely my own fault for juming into a BS as soon as i possibly could. Who knew taking an L4 mission with next to zero core/defence skills would result in my new shiny being reduced to rubble in near record time.... Roll

Lessons, they be learnt lol

Lost a rattlesnake in my first/only/last overheating fail.

The hardener popped and about 15 seconds later the ship popped.

I was redoing gallante training missions for standings.

Neglecting to read the mission descriptions i flew my Fed Navy Comet into a mission and it blew up on me.

Not an expensive lose, but reading the little blurb about "packing the ship with dynamite" would have resulted in less /facedesk.

golem fitted with caldari navy stuff on a lvl 4 while drunk. doorbell rang, got up to answer and invited guest in and forgot i was still in a mission, came back to an egg about an hour later and most of the valuable fittings destroyed. 1.5 billion lesson :P

Lost a nemesis on Evolution l4, Lost a hawk on Worlds Collide l4, and I lost an osprey on Massive Attack l4, I lost an arbitrator to the caldari titan too.

Also I lost a ferox to a rifter and the rats from an FW plex lol, that is a bad loss.

Edit: I almost forgot, I also lost a navitas mining in a belt in stain, was totally one volleyed by an NPC BS.

Lost a Drake in while doing the Jeremy Tacs mission. I had just popped the faction BS rat and grabbed the faction loot inside. Unfortunately a ninjaing Tengu didn't like that and kept bumping my Drake while it was aligning to warp. Couldn't align and lost the Drake to the intense DPS

Lost a second Drake while watching a movie and doing Recon 1/3 against Sansha rats. Didn't pay attention and therefore couldn't kill the mission rats fast enough before their full DPS got applied. By the time I noticed that my tank was breaking, I was already at 5% shields. Couldn't align and lost the Drake to the intense DPS

Lost a Covetor in a .5 sec system while being AFK for a few hours doing errands. Totally forgot to deploy drones.
