[Question] Did the way downtime affects missions change?

Recently I've been running a couple of missions, the first in a couple of months. I'm running L4s, and the time I'm available to play makes it such that occasionally I'm not able to complete a mission before downtime. In the past, as long as I never killed the mission completion trigger, the mission would re-spawn and I could try again after downtime.

However, in the last few days, I've run a number of missions. So far, two of them have surprised me and I wasn't able to complete them before downtime like I thought I would. When I've warped back to the mission site to re-start and finish the mission (after downtime), nothing is there!

Was there a set of patch notes that I missed, or is this a bug? I figured I would ask the EVE community before wasting a DEVs time if I just missed a game change, but really, what is going on?



For the record, I'm NOT trying to farm missions - I just want to finish the damn things so I don't lose standing, etc. Thanks for the help!

If you have an active mission in your journal, and you fly to the destination but nothing is there, that would be a bug in my opinion.

Yup, definitely a bug if the mission details in the journal don't show status as completed. Best to petition for mission reset and if you feel inclined to spend a bit of extra time, file a bug report about it.

Thanks for the replies guys - I haven't run them in a while and just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something that was introduced to combat mission farming or such.

Coming from someone who has farmed a lot a missions . . .

Sometimes the missions do not spawn correctly if you are at the location where they should spawn
Example
Before downtime you are a in the mission.
You log off from inside the mission dead space or downtime occurs
You log back in and you get returned to the mission site but it is not spawned . . .

Try doing this to fix it . . .
1) Warp all alts out of the mission, then warp back to it.
2) If that doesn't work, warp all alts out, dock up and log.

The only time that has not worked for me is if I had a mission out during a major patch.

If you are tried those two things and still can't get the mission to spawn, file a petition. A GM will reset it for you in less than 24 hours.

a simple session change will fix it as long as its NOT complete.

leave system. dock up and undock . any of them two ought to do it.
where is my ability to link a sig properly CCP you munters!!

Only thing i am aware is that DT Resets the mission.

I petitioned the mission after it failed to re-appear. One of the GMs reset the mission. It was just a bug.

FYI: Thanks for all the suggestions, but docking up/session change did NOT cause the mission to re-appear. It was just a bug, I'm curious to see if it happens again later. If so, might file a bug report, as this is a new glitch that I hadn't seen before the current build.

I know this is a few weeks old but I hit this message when I had a similar problem.
The suggestions did work for me, I'd already jumped to the next system when I docked and logged off so I don't know exactly which step fixed it but the acceleration gate was back when I returned to the bookmark.
