Try calling your ISP, push the matter. Or just wait until it resolves itself. Sounds like a problem on your ISP's side and others with more experience will already have told them.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

on windows go to run -> command

in that window type "tracert X" (without quotes) where X is the website name that you're trying to access.

with this command you start to ping all hubs (or hops) between you and the destination point. if your tracert stops during or after your ISP, it's either a problem on the ISP itself or the backbones that are connecting your ISP's servers and the destination you're trying to reach.

if you're behind a router and it stops there, then there's a router config problem.

post the results here afterwards

the easier way would be to download pingplotter, but then again, you might not be able to dload it.

sounds like a DNS issue or you got blocked by your ISP for some reason. (They could have been doing maintenance, or just a bug)

Actually sounds like a BGP problem, and there's nothing you could have done anyway.

I had an 8 port switch go bad once with similar effects. Strange thing it was: it still worked, but for some reason download speed was extremely slow, upload not affected, and HTTP access to websites was at normal speed.

Pings to other systems in the network were also normal.

Check your switch/router. If you are using one between your modem and your system and don't have an extra switch or router to swap out, go straight from PC to modem and see what happens.

I think it was clogged tubes myself. Better call the plumber next time.
