Soundwave, a challenge for you

You originally stated that you were going to wipe out the existing datacore mechanic because you hated passive income here:

http://www.tentonhammer.com/eve-online/interviews/inferno-part-one

(BTW, before the null sec zealot propagandists attack, Soundwave made it explicitly clear that this first cut in RP is just the first phase in the complete removal of the entire existing mechanic)

You are dead wrong on that, but for the sake of discussion, let's say it is passive.

Right now, you get 50% of your potential RP from an agent for doing nothing, after of course spending time and money to set them up. You get the other 50% of the potential by running a mission daily with each agent.

So change it like this:

You can run a maximum of 2 missions/day with each agent.
You run no missions that day, you get zero RP.
You run one mission, you get 50% of your potential RP.
You run 2 missions, you get your 100% of RP.

My proposal means that datacore farming has zero percent passive income. Nada. Zilch.
That should satisfy your need to destroy a passive income stream.

Scrap the idea of mining datacores with guns.
Keep the existing mechanic at least intact.

What I am proposing is actually far, far more damaging to datacore farmers than anything you and your other goon buddies dreamed up. Most datacore farmers can't or won't make the 30-40 jumps round trip each day, on each char, that is required to usually farm 5 good RP agents.

But at least my proposal keeps the mechanic intact and let's the industrialists keep their chars potentially engaged.

If you choose to ignore this proposal, what it means is that all your comments about passive income were simply another lie, in order wipe out another high sec income stream as you continue down the path to moving T2 invention/mfg out of high sec completely.

I know you have begun to state that the T2 mfg migration out of high sec is in the cards.
But at least the truth will be out completely in the open. If you ignore my proposal, it will make your declaration of war on high sec very public.

Oh, and also for those that don't know, Soundwave was, and most likely still is, goons.

At least it's out for discussion.

Why are you pubbies outraged about this years after he joined CCP? Also good job insinuating that he leaks stuff to us although you have zero proof.

...aaaaand ccp souncwave has already kindly informed that the information OP presents is not valid and that r&d agents will still continue to feed RP and datacores as before. The RP will get slight nerf and some small isk fee will be added. Datacores will also be seeded to FW LP stores where you can buy them with LP+some isk.

More propaganda.
That is why I posted the retort to that early in my first post.
Soundwave is seen in the video saying this is the first step.

Nope, I don't have any "proof".
I do have a whole lot of common sense. Look at the direction he is trying (and succeeding) to take the game.
Looks like it all does nothing but benefit the way null wants the game and more specifically goons. Heck, i can almost see the strings being pulled by his goon masters.

However, when it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and has a bill ... I'm calling it a duck.
All hail out new overlord, CCP Goonwave.

Nothing clever at this time.

I would expect many, many goons do.
The goons have many alts.

But it does not the change the intent of what Soundwave and his other null sec zealot buddies are doing, driving more income from high sec to low / null sec.

They built a reputation of being outraged when T20 leaked and spawned **** for BoB.

But then again, Goons are obviously the ones who take things too seriously, and so are obviously massive hypocrites.

Right...and that's an explicit and purposeful intent. They want to do that and they want people to know they're doing that. It's not some secret conspiracy, it's a purposeful and public game change.

The minutiae of datacores doesn't matter when they are lowering the relative rewards of hisec compared to null, low, and whs across the board.

Ah, let's see.
RP cut in half.
Add an extra Isk cost for datacores.

Nah, you are right, that is a slight nerf.
Effectivly they are moving datacore gathering over to FW.
Let's face it. When you get even less per agent worth of datacores then the time you have yo invest to get the skills, standings and agents isn't even worth it anymore.
You can get it much easier going the pew pew way.
And that is the bottom line it's all about.

This isn't about free Isk. It's not even a substantial ammount of Isk one can make off of datacores.

Let's call it just like it is. Another nerf biased towards getting people to move towards low and null sec.

Instead of making the whole sov system more dynamic it's much easier for Soundwave to take the easy road to mess up a part of the game in order to get some more action going on in low sec.
It doesn't require rocketscience that people who make roughly 291 mill tops over 3 characters per month with maxed skills for R&D to just drop it.
It's more than just get agents and that part Soundwave just plainly ignores.

If that is some incentive he got from others at CCP or his "former" bedbuddies I leave in the middle.

But the fact is that more and more people are silently agreeing that Soundwave does seem to have more of an appreciation for a certain playstyle and will look upon it with more favour.

Now if that seemingly partiallity is something which serves the company is a second thing.

But the taint is there and I have heard and seen more people rumor about it.

Sadly enough you can't really let Internal Affairs take a look at it because they are on the same payroll as all the other employees. And we certainly can't use another T20 incident.
So I expect my post to get removed because tinfoil is ok, but tinfoil hinting into certain directions isn't wanted.

My expected bantime I will use to dig a bit more. Maybe I will use it to put out more thoughts. Who knows.

But like the saying goes.
If it quaks like a duck, looks like a duck and walks like a duck you can be fairly certain it ain't a chicken.

Pretty sad way for the game to go.
It should be very interesting in the fall when the sub losses start showing up.
