no option "trade" for one character

Hi,

i'm not really a new citizen but don't know where to ask.
i have 3 accounts, let's call them a b and c.

a and c can't open trade session with b. the trade session when you right clik on someone in your station, well there is no "trade" option when i right click on b.
it's not big problem because b can trade with a and c but i dont understand why this happens.

if anyone has a clue....

Trial accounts cannot trade. Is B a trial?

Can you trade the other way, either c to a or c to b? Maybe you accidently clicked ignore player or something.

This has happened to me as well, several times in fact. However, i've always been able to trade with one of my characters. So if i wanted to trade with my alt (while the "trade" button is missing) i would simple initiate the trade with my alt instead.

I've had similar things happen to me.

In my experience, the player that was LAST to dock/log in is the player that can almost always initiate the trade.

This happens to me as well, either use the method above or find them on the station guest list.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Yes, it's a quite annoying bug.
Luckily one of the 2 players wanting to trade can always open the trade window.

Hope this gets fixed soon.

Actually no, trial accounts CAN TRADE, its how I got this account out of trial. They cannot use contracts however.

I've found as CEO the trade option doesn't show up trading to corp members....so i have my alt initiate the trade instead. I just assumed there was a limit to how many items could show in the right click menu and that was what was opted to toss out to make room for the rest.

Right click on the character you wish to trade with in the "Guests" window and the option should be available. I hope this helps Smile

As crazy as it sounds, try fleeting your characters. I never have an issue when right clicking characters in the fleet chat. I have seen the issue where no trade option appears while attempting from the station guest list. Don't know if its a bug or "working as intended" but it sure is annoying

You can also just go to Guests tab, and then right click that character anywhere, e.g. in chat.

Opening Guests tab seems to update EVE so that it now knows which characters are at same station with you.

You can always start a trade from the station guests menu.

Starting trades through the chat window are hit and miss. Probably a cache issue, as if you wait long enough, the option will appear.

This is not true, as I have 4 accounts and even when I try to trade through the guests menu, it only works around half the time.

Interesting. I've never had it fail. I just hate hunting through it in Jita.

When trade A -> B fails, try a B -> A trade.

I've experienced this as well. When I first started I thought it was a trial limitation or the result of insufficient skills.

I've had the "A can't trade to B but B can trade to A" issue myself, mostly after DT. It was easily resolved by undocking then docking again, and I have no way to reproduce the error.
