We did this today...

Ok then. I was pretty sure I actually tried that long time ago for lulz. And the wiki says you can't light them. Only shows (again) that the wiki is full of crap Roll

We’d found a C4 Pulsar connecting to our C3. One of my guys checked it out and found there was another corporation sat at a fully equipped POS with no forcefield. Sensing opportunity, I jump into a Bustard and he gets into a Maelstrom and jumps into the middle of them while their tower is onlining. There’s 2 Drakes and a Badger who can only sit and watch while he pops the Badger, the SMA and the CHA as the Drakes don’t have anywhere near the dps to break his tank. The SMA drops more indys and some hulks, so the ex-badger pilot tries jumping into them to save them, only to get popped shortly afterwards. Meanwhile, I’m happily scooping the contents of their CHA, which included fuel and PI. It’s not until my second trip that the Drakes actually start shooting me instead of the Maelstrom. They almost look in danger of breaking my tank when their forcefield kicks in.

The other derp was definitely ours. We were monitoring some neutrals collapsing a link from their C4. On their side, they had a pretty impressive fleet of HAC’s, Recons and T3’s and were using an Orca to collapse the hole. We thought we’d leave them to it until the Orca ended up the wrong side of the collapse. We saw him jump to a safespot and pop probes but was obviously without a cloaking device. I had two pilots jump into cov ops to scan him down. The orca pilot scanned down the U210 before they pinned him. I have not let the pilots involved forget about this!

We had this happen to one of our new guys, way way back when we were first starting.

Unfortunately for the ganker, it drew our attention to his failfit POS in the same system. We spent the weekend popping it.

I have some great ones!

#1: DERP Machariel
I am cloaked off of a POS shield as per usual, stalking people. Guy hops into a machariel and proceeds to MWD out of the shields. I am only in my scan ship at this point but I have a ship scanner so I decide to uncloak and ship-scan him right next to his POS. Turns out he has faction **** on here so I prolong my stalking, he returns to the shield.

I set up drag bubbles on wormholes and get a corp member to keep eyes on him whilst I get something ganky to assist my falcon buddy. Guy decides to warp around (by himself) and lands on our wormhole (C5/C5) at 10km - turns out he had faction 800mm repeatings. When we podded him (kill shown here) we find that he was using PART of a slave set (in his shield tank mach).

#2: Scanning Retriever
Simple one: guy jumps in from a hi-sec connection, starts dropping probes.. lol.

#3: Nidhoggur jumps through a wormhole we've critted and anchored a mobile large bubble II on, collapsing himself inside.
This guy then tried to get all loss-mails deleted etc.

#4: Archon triages before doing intel...
This guy and his buddies fight us on our joining wormhole. He decides: hey, its just a couple of battleships and 1 logi, I'll just triage and kick their ass..
Didn't work out so well for him...

#5: AFK Legion (was cloaked)
Legion was AFK and cloaked on the edge of an anchored bubble in the direction of his POS.
As I had been sitting at his POS and warped back there, my cloaked scanship uncloaked his legion.
I ran for the wormhole, assuming he was going to nail me. Came back with a friend in Ishtars, dropped a set of Garde IIs each in optimal and ended him super-fast.

There have been tens of times stuff like this has happened. If I remember any good ones, i'll come back here.

Lol at people hating on my old alliance Chained Reactions, yes we were bad, but there are worse out there.

Most amusing thing I've seen is a gang of T1 cruisers come in from hisec and then attempt to run c2 sleeper sites, they didn't last very long, but salvaged quite nicely.

I missed out on the spate of sending people home via the pod express that our corp had, I was too busy trying to get back into the wormhole after getting popped by some t3's.

My personal fail was leaving the pos for some ratting while there was a cov ops in system, next thing I knew I was getting an "oh hai there" from 2 Drakes and an Onyx, that interdiction sphere is nasty Shocked

The fact that I am not a gazillionaire Gallente aristocrat with the sexual capacity of a rutting rhino is a constant niggle.

One nice story was when I checked out an incoming hole that had been there for some time and saw several battleships, rapier, falcon and manticore on scan. They seemed to be at the POS so nothing exciting, but I warped to the POS anyway to look if any of the ships were manned and might be provoked into something.

Arriving at the POS I discovered to my delight that they were outside the FF and shooting at the tower. It was a small corp sieging an even smaller corp. The tower had only ECM... I guess they were bored because of the slow pace and getting jammed and so had brought all ships to the POS instead of scouting the wormholes. Bad mistake Lol Even worse: Although they had no RR going, they were all cuddled together.

I called for friends and we warped a HIC and some other ships on top of the attackers. The ensuing carnage was beautiful; they all died.

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12603439

Looks in the report like the tower was fighting on our side, but in fact both sides were jammed, only we didn't lose any ships.

While scanning i early WH days I find an Orca floating in space. Juicey. Gang up, warp to...wtf..the Orca has no pilot.

One warps off to drop his ship off and collect the Orca. It even had a hulk inside.

Anyways, I contact the owner saying something like "thanks for the fish". He replies by saying howmuch he has to pay to get it back. I give him a Jita price. He starts to haggle....lol

I scan him down cause he appearantly is in system. We all pile on him while i have his BC warp disrupted. He is still talking....

We pop him for the lulz not getting a paid penny. Turns out he had 2 WCS fitted...

I still can't get my head around that one.

"We" did some pretty dumb sh!t aswell but I'm too embarraced to tell.

Ok, here's a clue: While collapsing a WH with a carrier and BS's we lose count.....We are not sure whether the WH has enough left to get the carrier back again. Normally we would say, let's not risk it. Then some1 said, I'll wager 1m isk that it can be done with carrier.

He lost 1m isk to the carrierpilot and we made him pay for a new clone.

Remembered a couple more.

We killed a freighter a couple weeks ago. He was trying to jump into a c3 hole.

There was also the Abbadon a joint fleet with some friends bumped off a HS. Turned out he was running around in a 3+bil pod.

1) A chained reactions bomber pilot bombing his own fleet, and killing himself in the process.

2) A chained reactions active-armour-tanked gang in a pulsar. Threatened us with extermination, but lost the fight 0:15

3) First day flying with BUGRY, our fleet gets spotted waiting on the highsec to a C1. Instead of, perhaps, running away, they send a solo Rattlesnake with T1 hobgobs to defend the static. It dies.

4) The sheer number of people who think a bomber can solo kill a frig sized target. Last week I got engaged in my CHEETAH OF DOOM by two Talocan hounds. They had to run away.

5) (ME) Not realizing changing the POS password would catapult my alt, and watching her orca fly 200km out of the POS. This in a blackhole, with no online prop module to speed up the align time and a random Tengu gang in the hole. I made it, probably because they weren't watching our POS.

6) Dilch and his arty-missile Rokh of doom. Watching him warp to POS and rep his armour and hull got us salivating ahead of the mail. We killed it in our signature RRAF gang and got a surprise from his cargo http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=13778518

7) A tripple tanked smart bombing laser missile Ferox that tried to do a C1 site for about half an hour before we killed it.

In the tradition of saving the best for last ....

8) This one in several stages

* 2 corp mates used alts they didn't care about to solo reinforce a tower in a C2 out of boredom.
* Dude logs on at the POS in his Hulk. Gives no ***** about the reinforced tower, and starts mining. Dies.
* Guy from a random K162 enters in a Helios, scouts around, then returns in his domi.
Decides he can give even less of a **** and runs sites despite the reinforced tower and the Hulk wreck on scan. Dies.
* Guy from the target corp logs on and tries to solo rep the guns. In a thorax.
Dies.
* Guy from the target corp logs on and tries to solo rep the guns. Dies.

Time passes, and the RF timer is near to expiry. We have a BS heavy fleet in the WH.
We spot a Tengu scanning and assume it's a neut. Wrong, it's a DUCK Tengu. I wonder if ....
Subtle as a boil on the ass, Narwhals have a dozen guys in the highsec and give the game away. A convo with the sieged residents confirms they paid Narwhaals 7billion to save them.

Turns out, the bears have a Rorqual in this C2, and it can't leave.

Cue rolling the highsec and making DUCK fly all over highsec to try to catch up with the entrance (poor hole control, guys) whilst we start chipping down the tower.
Eventually the RNG hates us, and spawns the HS 2 jumps away from the last one, and it's 50guys in armour T3s and guardians time.
Except they still manage to trickle into the WH somehow, and lose a 2.5bil Loki, despite it being on a highsec hole. We extract safely, leaving scanners in the WH.

Next day, and they are slowly repping the shields on their tower. We gank a Basilisk and a DUCK Osprey trying to help out.
All the mods are offline still, DUCK leave, tower not repaired.

* Guy logs on and tries to solo rep .. (yeah, him again) .. results predictable.

We tell them in local we aren't leaving. They try to run a site a few hours later. The Drake dies.

A few more hours pass ... and ... eh? A wild control tower appears. Seems they have help arriving.

* New guy tries to anchor his POS in a clumsy way, his Impel dies.

* A little while later he warps to the sun @ 0 to drop probes, and dies.

* POS finally goes up, and he starts anchoring guns (etc).

* He goes out to put ammo in a gun, dies.

* Later decides to orbit the WH at 50km uncloaked in a Anathema, dies.

* Is randomly outside the shield anchoring bubbles below the POS in a cross formation. POS isn't set to shoot me, so he dies.

* They sit in the POS and smacktalk for a couple of days. Meanwhile, a guy exits the other POS shield to solo rep .. loses his drones and gets back in structure. Reps himself, tries again. Same result.

* Me and another guy stage a fight on the WH between our two scan alts, nearly get the one alt recruited into their corp.

After a while of this, the new guys drop their POS and leave, claiming victory (?)

I remain, however.

* Guy tries to solo rep ... WHY ARE YOU STILL DOING THIS!!?!?!

Another couple of days passes. I log on to find the POS gone, and a bunch of wrecks and cans in it's place. He's self destructed everything and left.

For some 10bil in damages I had lost one bomber ninjaing onto the DUCK loki going down and used a few bombs and torps.

Corp lost some ISK awarding me a medal for bombing excellence.

I later found the guy selling alts on Eve-O to generate some cash.

Victory.

It correlates with the other quotes we've seen from them. I don't think they act for less than about 3bil a contract (reading the previous Narwhaals thread Chitsa posted back in the day).

I guess when the fleet you send is worth 25-30billion that's what you charge.

There were less than 20 of us in T1 battleships, but you know, proportional response P

Was once sieging a POS with Buggery, and while camping the POS I notice a domi jump in and start running sites. I ask in alliance who is around and the only person close is Khanh'rhh in a SB. No problem, it's just a Domi, and I'm in a Tengu, so I figure we can take him. We warp in, and sure enough he starts to melt... Of course, being the PVP pro I am, I decide that there is no way I'm going to not get top damage on this kill, so I overheat... and of course burn out my launchers with the domi still in armor (active tanked). Khanh'rhh had some choice words in comms, if I recall correctly, however he was still able to save the day with a well timed bomb.

Was sieging a Russian POS with an active Nagalfar with some friends, it was in reinforced when the owners decide to evacuate. We didn't have enough bubbles to cage the POS, so we bubbled up the HS and camp it. At some point they decided to get a hauler out, and as a distraction, they warp the Nag to the hole, right outside the bubble. We point it up, and then the hauler warps in. We switched primaries, popped the hauler, then move back to the nag, laughing over comms preemptively for our free cap kill. It was off peak hours for us, but we had a pretty good fleet, certainly enough to take down a lone dread, however what we didn't have was a HIC. No matter, we had a lot of points on him, should have been fine, that is until we see him warp off back to the tower. We had forgotten about remote ECM bursts...

Also I remember the POS where they hired DUCKS that Khanh references in his post above. Best fight in a WH I've ever had, even though there was very little shooting and I wasn't involved when there was. I was in my scanny tengu playing "who can find the HS faster" with the DUCKS tengu. Ultimately we both would land on the WH at almost the same time. Probe PVP best PVP.

This is the Domi referenced above, who gave no fucks about the reinforced tower or the Hulk wreck on Dscan.

IIRC the conversation went

K: Dude, keep firing he's tanking me
ST: I can't
K: EH?
ST: I burned out my launchers :'(

Cue pulling range, then using a bomb to break his tank Smile

Other fail that got missed in my post : said Domi man decided that he should put his drones on the Tengu, not the bomber, so the bomb ended up clearing his drones AND breaking his tank.

Good times.

So me and some friends get together and find a hole leading to a C3. That's nice, time for some fun. Our scout goes through and sees a Fed Navy Comet camping the HS hole. They also have a mobile warp disruptor up.....10k from the hole itself. (as in the bubble was, not the actual disruptor thingy) It didn't even stop celestial warping to the hole. What. The. [insert rude word here for humorous effect]

So one of our guys goes through in a merlin to try and bait him, too bad, he's gone. Then, a nemesis uncloaks and tries to bomb the **** out of our guy....in a merlin......yeah. Needless to say, he died pretty quick. For good measure most of his T2 gear dropped, although why you need navy cap booster charges on a nemesis i'll never quite figure out.

Then our friend in the Navy Comet comes back and blows up our guy, only to find our kitchen sink fleet shredding him up. He goes down fast, partly because *DPS*, and partly because the guy was pure rep fit....using a coreli A-Type rep + AB, and no buffer. Thanks for the 60 million loot, dude. Next time, just give the money to the people directly, saves a lot of hassle.

He then calls in help, as we see the following appear on scan:

  • 2X Loki
  • 1X Proteus
  • 2X Dominix
  • 2X Retriever (complete with mining drones, not sure if they were relevant but these guys were evidently nuts, so I wouldn't put it past them to not use battle-retrievers)

This is against:

  • 1X Ferox
  • 1X Caracal
  • 1X Hurricane
  • 1X Cormorant

Can you say: 'overkill'?
We decided against fighting these guys, instead going to wallow in our total ~100 mil loot, leaving these guys to do, err, whatever they were doing. As much as we would have loved to of blown up the tower they had near the hole (only missle batteries for offence? Shocked ) The EWAR there would have easily overpowered us and our ships were not T3-proof.
Are wormholes always this fun? Because this was just hilarious.

EDIT: No killmails provided because screw searching battleclinic or w/e when it's late and i'm tired.

Haha oh man, some of these are just too good. Don't have anything of the same level of awesome, but I have some fun moments. Mostly fails on my side. (._.)

On one of my first excursions into a wormhole, I brought a corp mate along who had even less experience. He had never actually been in a wormhole before. We entered the wormhole from HS (it was probably a c2 or a c3, don't remember) and I learned in about 15 seconds what I had never known my entire life: what a bubbled up wormhole with 5 or 6 folks camping it looks like. I was still fairly new to the game at this time, but I'd had multiple unpleasant experiences involving bubbles, so I had a feeling this was likely not a good thing. Now I didn't know anything about WH mechanics at the time but I still just went back through the WH anyway. My buddy, in his drake, slowboated to the edge of the bubble and warped off.

He soon died.

In his pod, he warped planet to planet trying to evade the assailants.

He also had a set of +4's.

At a much later date, I was in a wormhole corp but had some issues IRL and couldn't afford the subscription. A few months go by, I resub and log back in with sleepinix. And, I GUESS wormhole corps tend to move on occasion, and new ones move in, etc. I figured I would just scan my way out, with my non-cloaky dominix. I also figured that after warping to zero at the first planet and sitting there like the space whale I was, I didn't need to worry as long as I didn't see any combat scanner probes on my d-scan.
Well, those probes on d-scan mysteriously vanished and were soon replaced by a proteus so I figured I was safe.

Turns out there are in fact proteus pilots out there who know how to use d-scan properly.

I just want you to know, I've only ever lost ONE battleship so far in my time playing eve.
