A simple way to defeat suicide gankers that attack miners in belts.

To do this you will need:

Your mining vessel at least lightly tanked.
An alt in a noob ship.
If you cannot field two characters at once ask a corp mate to do this part.

Pick a fairly fresh belt you want to mine in.
Set up your mining vessel in this belt.
Bring in the alt and with a token attempt have him attack your mining vessel.
Concord responds and blows up the alt.
Concord sits in your belt as a body guard for a few hours after that while you mine away to your hearts content.
Your whole corp can mine in there for that matter.
Concord leaves?
Have the alt attack again.

If everyone would do this it would basically shut down Schoolyardbullyageddon.

You do realize that Concord can be drawn out from those belts by gankers using the same tactic you provided, right? If anything, you have effectively helped the gankers prepare the system.

A simple re-attack by the alt fixes that.
The gankers arent going to d1ck around in that belt all day waiting for a target.
They will move on.
Miners in their home system will have a clear advantage.

To my knowledge, the only exploitive aspect to this is if the alt-in-noobship character gets Biomassed to shed them of negative security status.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

OR ... leave hisec.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

It's an exploit. Kind of like how gankers can't summon concord elsewhere to gain extra time, Miners can't summon concord to live.

This could be fun.

I don't know why you people keep saying this. You really have no idea.
Its ridiculous to think some of us would give up the huge network of things we have going in empire.

Seems like gankers have a whole lot more going for them than miners.

You'll find it in Goons' Jita Hellcamp, where they used that tactic constantly, while being allowed to by CCP. Believe me, if it were an exploit being used to that degree in that location there would be a lot of Goonies on EVE-vacation right now.

1. 20m SP in industry.
2. I mine fairly regularly

Lowsec is still a part of empire space. Blink

FINALLY someone comes up with this. I've been sitting on it for months.

If you see Concord disappear, warp to a safe or dock up because you know a gank is incoming.

This is a borderline exploit and reflects the typical carebear entitlement in its desire to have the game protect you so you don't have to learn what you're doing.

Please. Suicide ganking is beneath me. Don't lump me in with those high sec carebears. Just because I think one side is doing it wrong doesn't mean I don't have the same opinion of the other.

Awww... I'm glad you took the time to smell me.

I like it when carebears gets so close they can smell me, makes it so much easier to kick them.

This could be fun.
