Planetary Interaction API

I am the creator of the EVE Planetary Planner.
It is a small tool that helps to plan Planetary Interaction.
It also offers a feature for notification.

I would reall really appreciate (and the users of my tool too) if a new API could be added to the already existing one.

What that API would provide is a list of all planets with all their structures.
For the extractors, we would need the extracted product, the total quantity and the time remaining.
For the factories we would need the product.
The routes would be nice, but not mandatory.

That would really help people to use planetary interaction, and any tool related.


Basically what we would need is:
- System
* Name
- Planet
* Name
* Type (plasma, temperate,...)
* command center level
* CPU used
* Powergrid used
- Extractors
* Extracted resource
* Total Quantity extracted
* Total duration of extraction
* Cycle time
* Time until exhaustion (or start time)
- Factories
* Installed product
- Storages
- Launchpad

The stored quantities of the storages and Launchpad would be nice to have.
But we can do without.

PI API = Something that should've already been in the game, implemented with the new API System.

Basically if you have it in the game you should be able to check on it with the proper API Key Settings...

+1 to OP and Great Idea...

Also I'm checking out your Planetary Interactions Planner to see if it has what i am looking for if not then... I might make a few suggestions for your program if you're able to do these. (I am also trying to discuss things with the owner of http://eve-marketdata.com - Regional Price Look ups xD)

Reasons we should have an API Key for PI.

AFK - Viewing Capabilities.
PI-Programs to monitor the processes.

What the API would call for.

Command Center - Level (0-5) / Powergrid (in-use/available)/ CPU (in-use/available)
+ - Assets
Landing Pads / Storage Facilities.
+ - Assets
+ - Routed Products (Imports/Exports)
+ - - Grouped / Individual
Extractors
+ - Time Remaining Until Exhaustion
+ - Product Remaining / Product Total - Products Extracted
+ - Routing Info (Exports) [Not completely needed]
Processors
+ - Schematics Information
+ - Time Remaining on Cycle
+ - Products [In Waiting]
+ - Routing - [Imported / Exported - Products] - Not really needed.
Links. (very unsure of.)
+ - Links that are Routing Products / Links that are available to route products.
+ - EG. (17/18) 17 Links Routing Products - 1 Link Not - 18 Links made.
Customs Office
+ - View Assets
+ - View Tax Rate
+ - View Owning Corp.

This would allow someone who can't get to eve or can't be bothered to log off their main to check on their alts PI to do so.

Just the same as checking on Market Orders / Contracts with Eve-Mon.

It would also allow people to calculate / Plan Timers for when their expected to refuel / move their products around their planets.

Just thought I'd give this a little bump instead of making a topic myself. I think this would be a brilliant idea to finally have, it would work great with tools such as EveMon or any other online planner. Is there any news that this might come around in the winter expansion?

We had a little discussion with the API devs. Unfortunately it seems that PI API will not be ready for the winter expansion but they are considering in adding it in the next expansion or if they make it in time in any between patch.

Well I certainly hope they will make the API for PI.
As soon as it gets out I will update the Planetary Planner tool use it. Smile
