My little lycanthropic Sebiestory puppy did not get himself blown up, though he did park his Reaper in the middle of everything and take a lot of pictures. Anyone who missed the event may find them at:

Jita Is Burning

It was quite a show. I must say that the Drake which appears in a couple of these images took an astounding amount of punishment. It was targeted by more or less every Abaddon which you see in some of the pictures, and there were many more that are not visible.

Soon my little puppy will be off to Metropolis, to begin his seduction of disaffected Sebiestor youth. I snapped a little picture of him, too, though the poor thing absolutely *hates* wearing pants.

Lovely images. Well, except for the last one, which tries too hard.

It is a bit of a Concord recruitment poster, I concede - but I couldn't not include it.

All in all, I found myself unexpectedly moved by the event. At first, it was just exciting. However, the juxtaposition of business as usual pressing on relentlessly through flashing conflict grew into an emotional touchstone for me. I sent my puppy in expecting only the worst, and in some sense, found the best.

The majesty of God does not reside in nursery rhymes, but in the subtle grandeur of unexpected events.

The industriousness embodied by the graceful giant makes possible the flashing fight; while the flashing fight gives purpose to the giant's industriousness. Beyond, the stars shall continue to twinkle, regardless.

The Caldari State wishes to issue a warning to all travelers in Jita:

Due to the security system overload, Concord Law Enforcement reserves the right to engange and terminate any capsuleer they percieve as a threat. This rule will remain in effect until the Caldari State, by law of the ruling megacorporations deems Jita and surrounding space safe.
The Caldari State wishes to apologize for any inconvinience caused by the alteration of Concord Engangement Protocols.

(OOC: an error in outlaw display can cause Concord to appear and destroy perfect legitimate counter attackers, CCP is aware of the issue & works on it, in the meantime, excersize caution)

Lay off the booooooze, you crazy, ugly little thing...Ugh

On second thought, don't. Acute liver failure might be a suitable character-builder for you.

Oh, look: I think that might be my Gallente engineer friend's Talos in the first image Blink

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

The thing that has me most baffled, is where was the Caldari State Navy in this? Considering their views on economy and this being a blatant attempt to screw with such, I would have assumed that they would have stepped in to take care of this. Knowing how loyal the Caldari are to each other, I would also strongly rule out bribery, but I guess anything is possible? One would think that this obvious attack on the State would mean War.

So will we hear the beat of the drums?

I mean, the Imperial Navy would have had every gate gun trained on them on the way in shooting and on the way out shooting. Heretics like that would not have made it to such a trade hub in our empire.

Anyone care to explain why that an Abbadon was targeted by so many missile ships?

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

The Abaddon was part of a larger fleet engaging the DrakeSwarm. It was acting as one of Jita's "defenders," and was targeted by missile ships because that is what the "attackers" had on the field at that time.
