Perhaps this is a longshot and goes in to marketing / contracts, but...

Issue: You've made a region wide buyorder for veldspar, and now you have small stacks of veldspar spreaded all over the place.
Solution: Make a courier contact for multiple items in multiple stations. The contract pays for jumps and cubics delivered, which means that people passing by can take as much stuff from that contract what they can ferry.

I disagree!

I'm sure it has already been mentioned before, but going to say it anyways

I want to be able to somehow share the same wallet, item and ship hanger with other characters I own. Also I would like to see the same division system used on corporation hangers for personal hangers.

Even if someone may have had this idea before

i would like to have a similar system as in the overview to organize my inventory/assets.

User-definable filters (Meta/T2...) and tabs (weapons, rigs, minerals, ore ...) i suggest.

Just a small thought..

Since there are so many different items in the game with the "STATE" container..

Why cant we get some more customization based system?

So in any container you could add a tab as you liked and the other container that tab linked to was drag and drop or id defined?

So you would end up with a rather free system, where you could have things setup the way you prefer?

A lot of this seems to be in the current code-belly of the beast..

When any tab was not accessible it would simply shade it like items in lockdown.

With this we could also have corp member hangars in tabs to view systematically.

A last little detail.. If we get something like this, could we get some simple way to import/export these window settings..

Maybe even being able to send presets to each other? Sort of script based so you could add presets for different functions, like fleet mining, or corp trading, etc..

A small suggestion

When drag and dropping items onto the corp deliveries, could it not be like when dragging and dropping on dronebay, that it just drops to the hangar, and not the error message as it is?

Personal partitioning with unlimited divisions of auto-adjusting size (so like a corp hangar is arranged, but personally, in both stations and ships). This helps with organization immensely and works better than cargo containers.

A small thing that I have been bothered about for ages, that is so small it rarely would get much attention in the forum floods..

In deliveries for corp.. Why can you not allow opening more locations and delivering to same character or corp hangar?

It is kinda counter to the intention of making corp trading a benefit, if there is a logistic/time bottle neck in a function this important??

A longer responding time would be acceptable, its the manual one station at the time, that really is ineffecient.

Some might say that you can just trade personally and avoid the problem, but that is kinda the whole point. Since the argument for using corp orders would be to have benefits from grouping the work..

A really HUGE improvement would be automatic drag and drop search on Market and Wallet.

So IF you DRAG any item ONTO the AREA of the WALLET. It automatically did the search for that item in wallet transactions at the current active wallet setting.

Same in Market. IF you DRAG any item onto the window it goes straight to the items detailed market view.

With wallet multiple items selected would also be really nice, so you would be able to see say all mineral transaction types.
The multiple search combo is missing from the wallet transaction function.. This would be a nice way to implement this..

so very simple idea, when i play other games and i minimize the window cause im surfin web but also chatting to someone the icon would flash.

this would be helpful just know someone responded, and obviously you wouldnt want to have every chat alert you like local or say allance and corp, something for the settings pannal but, really for people that multi box eve or just semi afk, which ever would make sence.

and for ccp if you read this they have this very thing on a game called starcraft 2 kinda nice to have

Are you still taking suggestions?

Don't know if this was suggested already previously in the thread, but my suggestion is this:

Problem:
There's no way to search for multiple items at the same time that I know of.

Fix:
Allow us to have custom search lists that we can edit as we like. It can for example be a list of specified items.
At the same time allow for searching of specific catagories and properties on items. As an example, I want to find all turret mounted devices. Or I want to find all ammunition only.

But the functionality that I'd like the most is definitely being able to create my own custom search list with my own entries for multiple item searching. And make it easy to add an item to the list via the right click menu.

Problem:
Cluttered and messy inventory. Difficult to visualize what's in the inventory.

Solution:
Thematic based inventory display. 100% customizability.

Basically it would allow us to define rectangles within the inventory, in which custom filters that we create ourselves would sort items in.

So you could have, for example, 5 rectangles in your inventory, and each rectangle can be scrolled in (if the amount of items exceed what can be displayed in the current frame), so one rectangle division would only contain ammo, since you've defined the filter list for it this way. Another division area could contain only stuff you intend to reprocess, again, based on a filter you created for this area. Should be able to create filters based on properties on items, or purely on user selected items.

The system would of course allow you to overlap, and have the same item represented in different division, if said item matches the criteria on both divisions filters.

Check this link for an idea of what I'm talking about:

Sorting:

Simply allow Folders instead of Station Containers or the sort to sort items.

Currently Ships and Items are separate Categories. Allow subcategories for our Folders so we can quickly access them.

Ships | *Items*

(Subcategory) Fitting Modules | Ammunition | Blue Prints | Salvage

Create a smaller or more compact Station Services window, or combine it with our current UI sidebar.

Issue: Inventory management at a POS is awkward.

  • It is impossible to open containers in a POS Corporate Hangar Array. You need to take them out in the cargo of a sufficiently large ship to open them.
  • It is impossible to repackage items in a CHA.
  • The CHA has no private portion, anything you want to store in a CHA is available to all members of your corporation with the same roles mask as you.
  • The Ship Maintenance Array has no partitions at all, the only way to control access is by the Starbase Config Manager role. You either open the SMA to all members of your corp, or to all people with the SCM role.

Proposed solution:

  • Allow opening and manipulating the contents of containers in a CHA.
  • Allow repackaging items in a CHA.
  • Create private portions in the CHA and SMA. Every member of the corporation should have their private space. Directors (or members with a new role) can control volume quotas for members. Ideally, the quotas would be floating, so if one member isn't using the CHA, other people should be able to use more of it - up to the total capacity of the array. It is also very important to allow someone (probably directors) to take items out of other member's hangars - to prevent people going inactive making the CHA and subsequently the tower impossible to unanchor.
  • Create hangar tabs and private divisions as described above in the SMA.

Additional this here:

I hope you will look further into Starbase Management and rethink about a redesign as i already mentioned and posted it in the former comment blog to this general Item here New dev blog: Starbase happy fun time.

I think this will help all the POS Managers out there and all the Users too, to get an handy manageable POS state of the art.

Issue: Organization is hard to achieve
Solution: Let me create divisions in my personal hanger and allow me to put either ships or modules or whatever into any of them, then allow me to filter my "assets" window by divisions.

Issue: Selling ALL THE THINGS is really really annoying, especially when you have not done so for a long time in a mission hub.
Solution: Allow me to select all, right click and choose sell, then pop up a window with item, best buy price, percent up or down from average and a check box to confirm selling that item, have a total per item type and a total for all at the bottom, allow a check box for "select all" for when we just don't care, and a confirm button at the bottom. If all that has to happen to an item is it get repackaged (like modules, ships and things that have other items in/on them need not apply) then automatically repackage it.

Issue: Creating a lot of contracts can be time consuming.
Solution: some way to create bulk contracts for things, like if I have 10 BP copies to contract, if they are all the same, let me do ONE contract form, and produce 10 independent contracts.

Issue: Assets are hard to figure out what is where and how much.
Solution: Allow assets in multiple stations/systems/regions to be sorted by m3 total and m3 by item. Perhaps also show the total market value of all items in that station and allow us to sort by that as well. That would help me in the "is it worth it to jump 37 times to clean out a station?" question.

ISSUE: 'Trade with x'

When trading items to another player in a station, once you have placed items in the window, they cannot be removed, even if accept hasn't been clicked on either end.
If you drag and drop a large selection of items to the window, and you added an item you shouldn't have, you either have to cancel the trade completely, or trade and then trade back the item (if they don't realize how much its worth and just take it).

FIX: Make the contents of the 'Trade with x' window modifiable until either side clicks accept.

issue: having to type names of things into the market search and wallet transaction search and item searches both personal and corp

fix:being able to drag and drop item from anywhere (hangars, corp inventory, cargo, chat links, market screen) into market search and wallet transaction search bars, and corp and personal asset searches

I have recently been on SISI doing some things where these changes have been made in the UI already.

If you're looking for feedback on that - as it stands currently please do not implement your changes with regards to inventory.

WHY?

It's very clunky and confusing and clearly not well thought out. No one considered the adage of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.

I found moving items I just purchased into ships to be less than intuitive for example no longer being able to double click in hanger in an active ship to bring up the cargo hold of the ship. This method was quick. I found out that I had to drag things into the dumb inventory screen. I get that many people are not organized and need something like this to do it for them. That's not the case for me. This just jumbles everything up.

No item-like representation of all the ships in a current station. I like to be able to quickly glance at my ships in a window i have positioned directly above my hanger inventory window. I can see what I have what is assembled and fitted and what is disassembled and needs fittings. In the new UI inventory screen it is very difficult to ascertain what I have available and where it is without clicking on the assets screen. In a stressful situation (read: living in nullsec) I simply do not have the extra 30-45 seconds it takes to try to figure out where the hell my stuff is. I need to be able to quickly identify assets in it's own window that pertains to locally available inventory only. I do not want to hunt for it in a list of ships on the left hand side of the screen with various drop down arrows.

Speaking of that left hand side panel with the item types (ships etc) if you have multiple drop arrows of stuff - e.g. drone bay and you are trying to move things into your ship's cargo hold it is WAY too easy to drop it in your drone bay instead (which of course as you should you get an error message). This wastes my time.

This needs either a lot of work or the ability to COMPLETELY revert to the original style ala walking in stations.

ISSUE: can't sort icons (lack of grouping)
Explained: I generally prefer looking in icon mode when in station, but everything is presented to me as one big mess and I have to manually look through everything. List or detail isn't that much more helpful because I find recognizing by icon group a little quicker and the sorting options are meh.

SOLUTION: Easy Custom Groups
If all I want to see is ammo, maybe I could click on the ammo group or an ammo tab and just that comes up. If I want to see only mid slot t
