Seriously, stop being mad at the gankers! Don't you know how hard they have it?! They're practically an oppressed people! CONCORD might blow them up for ganking you! How will they loot your Elara Mining Laser Upgrade then? Huh?

To bad when CONCORD shows up after the ganker has fired, CONCORD blows up his ship, blows up the target if it didn't to the ganker, blows up the wreck of the target, then pods and causes SP loss to the miner.

Harsh universe and all, miners are not needed as gun mining and mission loot were able to out produce them...so why didn't the ******* idiotic miners just go shoot rogue drones and loot mission space instead of wasting months on a boring dead end profession (mining itself hasn't changed since 2003 folks, other sources of mins had to be ****** over to make you feel better) that obviously didn't pay as well + the fact you fly a ****** ship designed poorly with more structure then shield hitpoints to play to that resist bonus and amazingly a Mining Upgrade = Mag Stab / Heat Sink / Gryo / Ballistic control BUT these 4 mods don't increase CPU to guns while amazingly guns get not one but two...TWO SKILLS to affect the CPU/PG that decreases the fitting requirements of guns (miners get 1 BTW..which is contradicted by that ******* pointless upgrade mod and low CPU of the hulk). So...just blow the **** out of them 23.5/7 until the end of the ******* year, you don't need a special event to teach miners how unwanted and stupid they were to pick a useless profession when gun skills played out more when missioning or rogue drone belt ratting then cross over to PVP ship combat. Maybe we can get CCP to return loot tables and rogue drones, then kill the mining profession all together Twisted

You know, you may actually have something there.
I mean, what is the point of mining after all? Why have it at all? Bot infested activity that with re-introduction of drones stuffs really is redundant. You can even have it as an NPC activity with sellers spread around different systems. You want ore?
Go buy some then haul it where you need it.
Anything NPC's can't provide? Make it drop in 0.0 or low sec rats. Salvage for minerals as well as items.
Have certain minerals endemic to low sec and certain only in 0.0. Also make most buildable (if that's a word at all) items actually use minerals from all high sec, low sec and 0.0 respectively.
Mining as a separate activity is removed, no more Hulks and barges at all, people doing stuff like that will turn to combat of some sort sooner or later, then leave missions sooner or later to gravitate towards low sec and 0.0 where everyone can play their sandbox as long as there is shooting.

Niche label is removed off EVE and it becomes combat arcade. Everyone wins, everyone is happy.

I have PTSD from repeated assaults by CONCORD and I suffer panic attacks when I hear anything that remotely resembles a hull breach alarm.

Listen, I'm not saying that gankers aren't people. They're obviously people. They're just, like... maybe lesser people? Like about three-fifths of a person.

I'm cool with their music, and I'm glad they aren't shackled to swinging pickaxes at rocks anymore, but I'm not sure if I want them to be able to use the same water fountains normal people use. Or have their kids attend the same schools. And I know it's unreasonable to make a whole different system of gates for them, but maybe they should only be allowed to use the back of the gate?
