On the invoice it stated that the card was shipped 1st of may, shipped from the airport 2nd of may and i had a call from FedEx 1 hour ago.

No call yet but I found this on the Fed Ex Irish site.


Duties and Taxes


Duties and Taxes are not included in the export rates and will be billed to the recipient unless otherwise requested by the shipper. An advancement fee may be charged.


If the recipient refuses to pay, the sender shall be ultimately responsible for the payment of all Duties and Taxes

So far no calls from FedEx but when i mailed them i got asked to provide the AWB or a reference code from person who is sending the package. Where can i get some info regarding that?

The shipping is entirely in the hands of NVidia, and they have not informed us that the cards have already been shipped, and I know for certain that they had not been shipped as of yesterday, so I find it unlikely that anyone has received those cards.

There was however another sale during fanfest, and people might be getting those cards. But we have been assured that an email will be sent out to those who purchased the cards, when the nVidia start sending them."

Are you sure that your getting the cards from the current promotion or your getting now those from the first promotion made? :))

Ok so... literally... 5 minutes ago,... just got woken up by a knocking on the door... i sleepily get up and answer the door... fedex.. with my nice new lovely GTX560 :)
Just checking the box now and i cant see anywhere on it regarding taxs, and was half asleep and forgot to ask the fedex guy. But im just happy iv got my nice new shiney gpu :)

Well.. I'm still half aslepp but checking HRMC website... :

For any type of purchased goods posted to the UK from outside the EU, import taxes and/or duty are payable by the receiver before delivery once the goods have arrived in the UK. The amount due is worked out based on the information shown on the Customs Declaration fixed to the package. Or if the value of the goods is over £2,000, the recipient will be sent a form C88 'Single Administrative Document' to complete and return to the postal depot before the package can be delivered.

Fact that i never paid anything but i have the goods, and also the fact it was fedex delivering and not royal mail , i'm guessing i have nothing to pay ?

Meh i guess in my country the only gifts that are non-taxable are those that have the value of 45$ or less and don't weight more then 5kg and then there is a tax of 24% of the total value + 7% custom tax. That really sucks and seems people don't mention if they received the cards from the first promotion that CCP did or the recent one that was done 2 weeks ago.

I called Fed Ex here in ireland, and they found my package on the system and its being delivered tomorrow.

They also said I shouldnt worry about any extra charges being added, as the system said the sender was covering any charges.

Good news!

No, I called and gave my name and address and they found it on the system, I got no mail from CCP, so much for them mailing us when they were being sent.

The reference name checking on fedex site right now for my order says MARSHAK, try that

No, I called and gave my name and address and they found it on the system, I got no mail from CCP, so much for them mailing us when they were being sent.

Lot easier to tell you nothing over email, call your local/national customer care line for fed ex.

Just be nice, tell them you won a compatition and you were told they were handling the delivery.

Tell em its being sent by nvidea in the US.

The card I received Wednesday was definitely from the 20 PLEX deal since I didn't attend fanfest. On the FedEx package it says it was shipped from Santa Clara, CA on May 1st.

You didn't have to participate to the fanfest in order to get that "20 plex promotion" I know there was one at fanfest and one on the april 12th

Mine was from April 12'th. Going by when mine is coming and people getting others today, you'll have your card by tomorrow or monday at the latest.

Ah well i almost did all of the paper work today, the only thing left is to go trough notary, go to the local fedex office again so they can send my **** to the fedex warehouse and be cleared from customs and see if there will be any additional charges.
Its clearly a "bermuda triangle" here :)
