The changes to the Amarr T2 ship colours makes me sick to my stomach.

No red on the Absolution. Sad Damantion is not black. Sad ditto assault frigs. Sad

The shiny is nice, but why do they have to lose rich color for shades of brown/tan?

Yes, to poster #14. I am female.

I'm going to go look at the Khanid ships now, just because Helicity says they look amazing. Will be back with my honest opinion.

there are 285 shades of visibly different red to the naked eye
This is just not the right red.

So, I guess the Anathema and Curse are Khanid. I think the color scheme works with the Anathema, but not with the Curse. The Curse could actually pass for black previously, but now cannot. An all black ship with blue lights is very scary, IMHO. LOL....I guess I'm a sucker for cup holders, too.

BTW, I've tried both my monitors and neither of them are giving me any shade of red on the Paladin or the Crusader, just brown. I'm training up one so I can take it out into the light and perhaps it might look better, but I still have a feeling I would like Paladin as it currently is (the one that would look nice hanging from a Christmas tree).

Dunno what Op is about, maybe too much bling? I for one love the new color schemes. Don't go by the view window, get them into space with some light.

Abaddon amazing

Red/gold T2 combo is amazing

Cylon prophecy hulls amazing

Absolution means a change of shorts!

Not sure why some people are only getting brown. I get a nice burnt red/orange.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

Oh god, the absolution.

The purple beams of death erupting from it's hull.

It's strange because for example, Khanid ships have the correct Khanid logo but Carthum ships have the Sarum family logo and Viziam ships have the Ardishapur family logo. Purifier doesn't have any logo but it's a Viziam ship.

I'd like Carthum and Viziam logos for Amarr TII ships as same as Caldari and Gallente V3 ships have Duvolle, CreoDron,Roden,Lai Dai, Kaalakiota or Ishukone logos and painting jobs.

Hound doesn't have any logo too, it's a Boundless Creation ship.

Dear god the old Amarr T2 color schemes were garish and horrifying, ESPECIALLY Carthum Conglomerate. Gold and cherry red, yeah, going to strike so much fear in the hearts of the enemy. Khanid ships were ok, and I still think at this point that they're ok. But the Vengeance could do without the finny things at it's back, they make the sleek and dangerous Punisher hull look kind of silly, as do the wings in the side. But at this point I'm quite impressed with the Amarr V3 textures as a whole, and feel that I should fly them more.

I just wish all the new V3 skins weren't so dark. You can hardy see them in most systems.

the brown is coming from the harby and normal Apocalypse. Their hulls have the normal brownish/tannish color and then a more pronounced Gold plating on top of it. Looks better than the original but still a bit bland

Apparently V3 graphics means dipping every ship in mud.

Not that it looks *bad*, but it is taking a lot of the visual variety out of space.

The new Navy Apoc has an Amarrian symbol at the bow that looks like an eye.
This makes the whole front of the ship look like an evil, open mouth either laughing at the enemies or about to devour them.
I would totally pay aurum to get this effect enhanced by a painted sharkmouth.....

edit: this is what I mean

second edit: quick and dirty apoc sharkmouth concept

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

I don't understand the new Sarum or Ardishapur emblems in Carthum and Viziam ships...

Either your screens are calibrated wrong or you need to see an eye doctor.

someone post a pic of the Pali. I looked at it last night via the ship viewer and remember saying to myself that I thought the original had way more red in it. May be wrong though

Well yeah. The Carthum ships aren't cherry red anymore, which is great. It's a dark wine red instead.

It's more like a dark brown-red >_<

Yeh cherry may have been too bright, but this new mud-red is too damn dark. Maybe a nice burgundy or smth would be nice

There should be a rather awesome pic here
