Just a word of concern for recruiters out there.

Frillo Teslar and his alt Oblong Chunk stole 15 bil worth of assets. I hope no other corp is unfortunate enough to recruit this member into your numbers. He should not be trusted!

**** happens bro, live and learn.
If you really hate them, follow them for a while, send each new CEO a mail about it.

Sooner or later they will just sell the char and buy a new one, or use alts.

to clarify astons post

our corp in narwhals ate my duck has experienced a theft. not completely unheard of within the eve environment but none the less crucial that we post on here to let future folks know that they are either employing or purchasing a toon that was involved in around 16 billion isk worth of ships going missing for corp sma's.

these ships was owned by 4 people in total and as such will be easily replaced due to the high volume of isk that wormholes can generate.

what disgusts me is the fact that 2 of the pilots who have taken a hit were either in another country fighting the war on terror or are disabled and out of game due to medical reasons. this i find sickening.

frillo didnt steal from duck nor did he steal from pandora sphere, he stole from 4 decent members.

proof that was requested is below. all in all its a good heist but was it rearly worth burning a toon for?

we expect said ships to be replaced within 1-2 weeks.

16 billion is a good haul, congratulations for the taker.

The line about the people being stolen from as deployed overseas / disabled making the theft extra-despicable though... if I had a dime for every time a corp theft victim turned out to be a disabled veteran whose only enjoyment in life is Eve Online, I'd have a lot of dimes.

Isn't it funny how corp thieves, not really targeting individuals specifically, always manage to rob the one guy in the corp who has a tear-jerking, heart-wrenching disability that should make the thief feel terrible for robbing him?

Look,

Why I said what I said: we ourselves have been robbed a few weeks ago, for somewhere around 6 bil ISK.
Easy replaced in wormholes, but its the case of **** that happens, and it is annoying.

I fully understand you posting here, but it only gives the thief more credits in EVE, and makes you look worse.

IMO a typical case of HTFU, I suggest you to ignore him, maybe try to at least kill him once if you feel like it, but don't invest too much time and resources into that.
He will just feast on the tears, and showing that you care about it is un-cool in EVE, it seems.

completely agree pink, not a tear wasted neither. however us decent pilots have a regard for other players (unless its on the battlefield of course) and as such the only way to "get back" at someone of their caliber is to make the next sale of the toon practically useless.

no one wants a toon with bad history as it will make it useless when looking for a decent corp to join once purchased.

thats the theory anyway!

This post is for all other Ceo's that may hire him as a warning. Nothing else. Yes he took somthing from someone as purpose becuase he was disgruntal about "not his ideal alliance".. Not really he is a thief and you ae just being warned not to hire. He also stated he will sell toon..........

Despicable? Extra-effective, surely. No morals in eve. why are we using hyphens

Isn't it funny how you care *only just enough* to cast idle aspersions as opposed to doing some research on the victims? You're in GHSC, you're a smart antagonist ;)

I've personal experience of characters being used for corp thievery and other japes becoming worthless. Considering two are burnt, the profit actually seems to be very narrow. EVE sees much better on a regular basis, this is just a PSA.

You know what? Even if we assume that is true, I think exploiting their RL in a tacky attempt to garner sympathy or impose guilt is vastly more deplorable than anything the corp thief did.

The corp thief's character in a game did something to your character(s) in a game that is allowed by the rules of the game. Whether the player behind those characters is Hitler or Tiny Tim has no bearing on what is permissible in the game. In turn, you are attempting to exploit the RL conditions of the players behind those characters to make the player behind the character that robbed you feel ****** IRL. That's absurd.

If that's considered kosher, where is the line drawn? If I catch one of those corp mates of yours solomining in a Hulk in a WH, should I feel obligated to pass on by because they have special circumstances RL? If they have sell orders in Jita, should I not .01 isk them because really, it's so unfair - who has time to market PvP AND defend their country, right?

If they land on my Boardwalk with four houses, should I say, "You know what? Thank you for your service, nevermind the rent, this one's on me?"

i see your point but that all depends if said miners or however u put it have done their best to integrate you and make you feel welcome and helped u in the past. would that not be slightly different?

also, regarding army boy and peg leg - that bits true

some great input in this thread instead of the usual, keep it up

No, not really. Treachery is a part of the game. Hell, there was an entire trailer video promoting that possibility. It's still just something that one character in a game did to some other characters in a game in accordance with the rules of the game, and those rules aren't magically different for players who have a sub-ideal RL situation.

Oh, this is pure lulz. Like we should give any consideration whatsoever to a character because of what they do on the outside. I'm former Army myself, but you don't see me pulling that card to get sympathy or special treatment. I also suppose we aren't supposed to gank or steal from any doctors, non-profit charity workers, victims of brain injuries, firemen, police officers, priests, paramedics, sexual abuse victims, etc etc.

You play this game with full knowledge that this sort of stuff can happen to you. If it does, it's your own fault for not preventing it. Don't try to play the fecking veteran card. It's not gonna fly.
