Reading about EvE drama, is a heck of a lot more entertaining than Playing EvE.

When you play the game you don't even think about the forums.

A forum addiction is a sure sign of complete apathy for the actual game.

It also characterises most of the people here nicely.

Its pretty much like when you go on a roam with one or two friendly alliances and your fleet meets up another blue fleet and the other blue fleet shoots the friendly alliance's members on your fleet.. But the blue fleet that is shooting your friends is blue to you AND is also blue (or at least supposed to) be blue to your friends and so you stay there and you're watching all the drama unfold and you cannot do anything about it but laugh your ass off with the mic off. And you think to yourself "What the hell i came here looking for pew pew and got a soap opera instead" and you don't care because you like both!

True story, i tell ya... happy ending too, everyone was blue so we all joined into a third fleet and kicked some reds butt.

Quoting someone who is contradicting themselves by posting instead of playing.

Rehab is the only answer. Shocked

if ("eve forums" > "eve game" while "eve game" = "not quite ready yet") then write "there is no problem".

Symptoms: Not playing enough EVE
Diagnosis: By not playing EVE, you are not playing EVE
Remedy: Play more EVE

Well, I can't really say I have been spending more time here than playing the game itself, but I have definitely been here a lot more than before.

And with the more recent trend of Fallout responding in every thread imaginable, regardless of whether he has a 100% answer to the question at least makes me feel like my issues/problems/ideas/complaints/compliments aren't for the sake of words.

Also, I feel that I'm always hungry for more information about this game, especially those pertaining to fixes. (gotta give up my love for Team BFF and Thousand little paper-cuts thread; they fix things i KNEW were annoying subconsciously, but have accepted for far too long.)

And finally, I hope to see hints as to when BIG announcements will be leaked before their time, like when t0rfi popped into a thread 2 weeks ago and first dropped the bombshell about the return of ship spinning. Sometimes it pays to browse here in addition to reading the blogs as they post.

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

I have also been doing this. My usual routine was to browse the forums, then login and play. However the negative tone and general anger on these forums has actually sapped my will to log in.

One rule : read the forum post if you feel like it. And most importantly dont let it get to your will to play. In the end life itself is meaningless, simple thought about it drain the will to live. Sometime is better to think less and do more. More you do more things become hobby more you enjoy what you doing.. Its like addiction ..
