Has or will there be, any lore / fiction based reason given for bounties being reapplied to the rogue drones?

Space zombies got tired of rogue drones being all up in their grill, so put a hit out on them. The end and they lived happily ever after.

Same reason that CONCORD cares enough to pay you cash money when you kill some lowly grunt in an assend system in Deklein or somewhere.

There were bounties. The bounties were removed. The bounties have been returned.

Diplomatic relations between the drones & Concord broke down? Those primary "empire" (re: the caldari, amarr in particular as well as perhaps Gallente/Minmatar?) sov holders who had relations with the drones lost interest in continued communication with the drones? Something else entirely?

My version what happened; drones somehow managed to upgrade their ship structures so well they don't drop alloys anymore. Concord probably feared that this could lead into "nobody cares about keeping drone numbers low = invasion = panic" so they added bounties on them to compensate this Smile
