Travel thru 0.0 is not always dangerous

I was in a shuttle with implants in my pod and wanted to get to my ship.

Knowing the entry point to 0.0 was bubbled with large bubbles and camped, i jumped in.

My pod survived. This is my story.

The first few things you need know is most campers are smack talking in comms and they have eyes on the side you are jumping in from. They know what your in and know when you jump. No surprise.

The biggest part in travel is be calm and dont freak out. When I jumped in I saw 7 bombers a loki rapier falcon. I was sitting in a large bubble and had 1 minute to choose my next course of action.

First it was a regional gate therefore the loki was on the gate but it was 42km away the Rapier was even further did not care either. Now I knew I wanted to get to the station and i choose the shortest exit of the bubble opposite of the loki. Knowing most campers are smugg teenage kids I had an addition 4 secs of reaction time. I then proceeded to go for it. I was target painted, ecm(why I am a shuttle killboard whore Falcon) and pointed. The bombs where hitting me and i was still going soo the loki was too far to web me... It was 5 rounds of bombs that my shuttle exploded but i had escaped the bubble and warped the pod to the station.

Hey eve is fun if you throw care to the wind and actually try and make it fun.

LOL, your argument for "not dangerous" is massive overkill applied to your Shuttle, but at least your Pod got away? Roll

In my experience just setting a secondary warp-in point as close to perpendicular to the directions of the other gates as possible lets you double-hop right around the bubbles something like 90% of the time, could have saved you that shuttle.

I'm assuming that since you call it an "entry point" and had a ship on the other side of it you'd used the gate before... so why would you not have BMs around it?

Getting around anywhere isn't difficult in a shuttle. Some people don't even bother shooting at them because they are rarely used to transport anything expensive outside of hi-sec and they take longer to target.

Come back here after you make a run in a ship that the gankers will actually have time to shoot at.

Also, look forward to hearing about bubbles placed on paths between planets/stations/gates make life interesting.

Ahh yes, the hardcore PVP that is 0.0. A gang of bombers nuking a shuttle.

You get 2-3 jumps past the morons looking to pummel every unlucky passerby coming out of low, null is almost empty in most places.

>Loses shuttle to gatecamp
>Gatecamp was incompetent enough to let pod survive
>Pilot, now in pod, thinks "That wasn't so bad"

THAT GATE CAMP WAS FAIL AND ITS BECAUSE OF THAT, YOU LIVED.

0.0 is always dangerous, and sometimes you get lucky.
