Copy time on a 1500 run Ammo BPC?

Hello all.

As you may know, Ammo BPOs don't show how long it takes to copy 1 run, as it just says "Less than a second", so, how long is "Less than a second", and how long would a 1500 run ammo BPC take to copy?

- Cheers.

p.s - I'm wanting to buy some medium projectile BPOs at max-ish research, please contact me if you are capable of providing this. Will pay, obviously.

Drop me a mail, with the BPOs you're looking for, and we'll see what we can come up with.

If you don't have an answer on the copy time by the time I get back home, I'll drop that in too (away from my PC) From memory, you can churn out copies pretty quickly. Which is why they're not expensive to buy in bulk.

A problem I've just discovered with the copies is that it has a max of only 1500 runs, and I assume that BPOs can be installed with an unlimited amount of runs (for as long as it's not a 30 day + job) right?

Correct.

BPCs, generally, are used for invention. Or where the BPO is stupid expensive to buy, and the BPC cost can be absorbed into the profit margin.

If you're doing a lot of runs, then BPOs are worth it. 'perfect' BPOs, less so, but it all depends on how long the research takes.

Generally it's not too long for Ammo, so it's only a few thousand runs to make it worth that extra research time.

I believe that using and advance lab, it's about 2 days to make 20 max run ammo bpcs. Still i could be confusing mods with ammo.

As for material efficiency, the main key is getting the waste below .9%.

Also for ammo, perfect me can be very low. For scourge missiles, you only need 147 me. Anything more is a waste.

Look at the max run copy time instead, and divide by 1500.

Example: EMP S, Research Copy Time = 6000 (/ 1500 = 4 seconds per run before skills, implants, and lab bonuses).

Example: Science 5 and no implant, using an Advanced Mobile Lab (0.65)
Time = 4 * (1 - 5 * 0.05) * 0.65 Advanced Mobile Lab = 1.95 seconds per run

In an advanced lab (0.65 multiplier), 20 max run copies are currently taking me around 24 hours.
