Good idea.

Maybe make it an FPS or something to appeal to a wider demographic. And they could make it for platforms so that the un-PC masses can enjoy EVE in a way.

Because that is Incarna, the Carbon framework is applied to all three games so there is hardly any WoD stuff that CCP has done that didnt effect EVE positively. From what I can tell the only devs working WoD are Carbon devs that are working in tandem with EVE dev on Incarna, 1 or 2 art devs to make concepts, and one or two marketing guys that slowly getting the word out to the existing communities that actually care about WoD.


You can correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't actually think Dust is using the Carbon framework other then the link on the Eve side. From my understanding Dust is completely run off the UR3 engine.

The Carbon engine is the reason why CCP didn't do something like making a second EVE WiS MMO, the Carbon engine allows them to develop on an unrelated MMO and have it augment EVE too for Incarna.

That and Incarna to my knowledge runs on a separate node or something so it might as well be a separate MMO :P (or something....you know what I mean lol)

5/10 for another Whine post about CCP resources should be allocated entirely to EVE online, instead try something different.


TL;DR : why CCp did not focus his resources from WoD to EVE and the Incarna resources to keep developing FiS instead WiS.



P.S: In EVE there is Pirates it's natural evolution it's NINJA!! so they can balance themselves , later the evolution will keep kicking with zombie pirates and ninja robots.. !!!

So indulge me if you will OP. What type of MMO where you thinking that CCP should make? I mean it can't really be a FPS style since that would conflict with Dust. While Eve does have quite a depth when it comes to lore/storyline, theres very little you could add game play wise when it comes to a separate MMO.

I think they mean a walking around, fighting or whatever MMO based in the Eve Universe. On the planets or something. Using all the Eve lore.

An MMO that extended beyond anything that Incarna everwill.

An MMO in the EVE universe-- that's all .. perhaps overlapping with the
limited ambulation we have now. maybe in the near future we join their
world and the two entities can become a world where ships and a more
conventional MMO exist - STO tried it and died.

Suggesting a completely separate MMO here--- we here are not in it. The
worlds just overlap. Opportunity to be had - for those that hate the idea they
can exist happily in their ships.

Yea pretty much you defined what Incarna is suppose to be and what Dust will be. So I don't see how this relates to WoD, since you did call them out initially.
