I am wondering why are ships doing this on singularity:

Seems like "gravity" is off from center..
Question

It's Megathron Navy Issue.
As you can see i am doing 0.0m/s so my ship should stay horizontal.

I consider this a feature.

The way the Eve code works, ships have no "what direction am I facing" or "rotation" value, nor any concept of what space they take up, other than a simple "collision radius". They merely have a "what direction am I going" vector value.

This is why ships can't be upside down, or do somersaults or barrel rolls, why aligning to warp from a standstill takes the same amount of time no matter what direction you're facing, etc. When your ship is stopped, it's just simply that: stopped. The client has no idea what direction it should be facing, so it levels off the ship for good measure.

The markers that you perceive as the "center of gravity" can be more accurately described as the "center of the ship model". For asymmetric ships like the Megathron, this will appear to be off of the center of gravity.

I did the same test on TQ and ship was centered.
You have to know that when you view an object in space, you have limits, you have up and down with you camera.

Wait, you're saying that the ship doesn't level itself off automatically anymore? That would be awesome!

(Reading comprehension fail on my part if so)

it does but not so much as on SiSi.

TQ: ~ 30°
SiSi: ~ 58°

Two different ships with completely different attributes.

Your comparison is mostly worthless.

The auto-leveling the client does would have more effect on a Machariel than it would on a Megathron.

I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to be seeing with these pics.

Well, what's on display is very clearly the effects of having sex inside a spaceship.

The ones in the Mega are having a blast (pun intended) in the front end of the ship, while the ones in the Mac are not as adventurous and stick to the captain's pod in the middle of the ship. Big smile

if they disable the autoleveling i'd be so happy, honestly theres no FLAT in space, wtf are my ships settling flat in SPACE... if i go a direciton and stop i shud stop in that same direction and sit there till i engage thrusters again.
