Has anyone ran into the tens of thousands of new Japanese players?

What's all this stuff about racism?

Today, racism is reversed almost completely. The real racists are the blacks, browns, etc. Whites have had "white guilt" forcibly shoved down their throat for so many generations now that the only racists really left anymore are the non-whites. Don't beat a dead horse with this "white racism" stuff, as a race we have no pride or heritage or land anymore, and yet you're still not satisfied?

By their fruit you will recognize them.

can't be bothered to read the whole thread, but in an answer to the OP:

Maybe you're simply looking in the wrong place or not looking at all. Apparently you're going to have to find another 60 million players when Dust goes live, so try harder.

You'd need a regular nuclear bomb to run into that many.

You've been dreaming about that starship of yours again, haven't you?

I stumbled across a very large Japanese corp in Derelik.

The term oriental derives from the Latin for east. Oriental means anything to the east. It was used for lands, people, cultures and goods. Historically it meant the middle east, rather than the far east. At one point the Orient was a Roman province. Later it described a Muslim, or Islam, and then later it came to mean people and places further east.

It's not usually considered to be pejorative - you could just as easily use "An Asian", or any other racial epithet in a pejorative manner.

What makes "Asian" so PC? Lumping people of vastly different cultures together (e.g. Indians and Japanese) just because they're different from "us" seems pretty racist to me.
Asian is more PC than Oriental for the exact reason you describe: because “the orient“ doesn't really exist any more — it's a historical relic that is as useful today as thinking of Scandinavia as “Hyperborea”.

Asian is just as sweeping a term, but it describes the actual world as we know it, not some fanciful notion of what the world looked like that existed a millennium (or two) ago, nor does it evoke the (actually racist) colonial-era romantic view of the mystical world “over there”, which drew on similarly fanciful notions. In other words, Asian is more PC than Oriental because it's not ignorant nor is it drawing on inherently racist world views.

Sure, it doesn't preclude “Asian” from being used as a racist statement — like you say, any kind of ethno/geographical grouping can be used that way — but it doesn't come with the historically ingrained ignorance that “Oriental” does.

Also, American is way too broad. You should use "United State's educational system" as that suggest everyone from the Americas.

Bzzzzt! It is not too broad. Given that the world revolves around US (ha, ha, pun!) the UN international language and protocol standards body has clearly stated that when communicating with an overweight, lazy, geographically challenged speaker who keeps repeating things to you in English but with increasing volume, it is in fact correct to assume that the speaker is from the United States unless there's overriding contradictory contextual information to imply otherwise.

It's just easier that way. Don't try to deny or fight it.

Alright then.

Once they are active on the forums, refer to them as Oriental on here. Then enjoy your bans.

You are obviously the product of a very bad school system. Not sure if it is generally experienced in the USA or not but you do provide a specific example of a terrible failing experienced in your educational background.

If likes matter to you so much, you would have an aneurysm if you saw how many I got overnight. Lol

I wonder if this sad case would find "Occidental Petroleum" to be a "racist" corporation name.

What I posted here was worse than what I sent you by EVEmail. I was just letting you know how much of a tool you were being in this thread and that you have won the internet stupidity contest for April and May. Quite an accomplishment really.

You should be thanking me.

But I am sure you would prefer to continue your faux outrage on behalf of others so carry on in all your ignorant glory.
