Gank = sec status loss of the victims sec status.

Gank a 3.9? lose 3.9 sec. a 1.32? lose 1.32, sec is hard to get up.
Make your ganks count. A gank is not something you do every day but is something that should take planning and the fullest of attention and care. A gank is not a ****** killboard padding, or a contest, it is something you must dedicate to, not just hop in a thrasher and lololooolololololololololololololol.
also give victims full killrights ie pods.


the current system is
.5% loss on agression
2% loss on ship destroyed
12.5% loss on pod kill

so gankers get lucky, shoot tradehub/hauler alts and get no reduction. x - 0 = x.


Also would take away the "prestige" of -10. Unless lining up shuttles at a trade hub for the concord cascade, takes a bit to get there. Kill a few 0.0 roamers dicking about in lol sec and its -4 or -5 per ship just like that if they rat decently a few days a week. Or bear ganks. Lets keep -10 a sign of devotion to the pirate life. Many I know to get exclusive kills to eak out those final points actually got off gates. Nice solo kill, full sec hit to make -10 happen. Not vying with 10 mofo's on a gate to be the pod killer.

Also the scale is in effect for the tard bears who think I hate me some frigates....lets run smarties. They meet concord, wonder wtf jsut happened then the "griefer" in the cloaky comes back to cash in the kill right and the legal gank. Tard bear already gets his hard lesson there....no need to kick em out to low sec for the added kick in the balls.

Move principal sec gain away from the 99% safe area's of Eve (high-/nullsec) and all your woes evaporate like dew in the early morning sun.

Remove sec status gain from nul-sec and hi-sec .... sudenly low-sec will become interesting place again.
Hi-sec missioners dont need sec status and nul-sec is waaay too much safe.

CCP really please dont use Upgraded, Limited, Experimental and Prototype in item names. It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order.

implement a system where you can sell your kill rights to other players and remove insurance payouts in high sec if you do illegal stuff.

Sec is hard to get back up on purpose to prevent players going gank crazy.
Ganking is already very common on the pipes from hubs.
Even the loss of insurance pay outs has not culled this activity, especially since the introduction of a cheaper more suitable ship to gank with (Tornado).

I'd personally like to see the sec hit increased to make ganking less common.
You can easily train a character to gank in a Tornado in not long at all.
And then there's thrashers, takes no time at all to get a character into a gank fit thrasher.

This statement is also incorrect. With timing and knowledge you can gank repeatedly even if you are at -10.

All it requires is an insta warp from station, a BS fit that lets you align and warp between safes before concord can catch you. Timing to ensure you are in position for when your target jumps through the gate.

I know someone that used to do this every day.

Naw, sec status is a joke. It doesn't do anything because its not a real hinderance. Now if a pilot lost skill points when their ship was destroyed pretty much like a T3 (but everyship but a rookie ship), then you will see less lololololol I ganked a hulk and more...damn man we just ganked a freighter worth billions and I only lost a couple days skill time. But destroyers would have to be nerfed into oblivion, obvious griefing exploit.

But on the upside: You destroy any ship, you cause the pilot of the destroyed ship to suffer irreplacable loss anywhere in game. But if its in highsec, you loose skill points to CONCORD yourself if its unsanctioned gank too feel irreplacable loss yourself.Twisted Thats balance

A good idea in theory, but 20 rookie ships with t2 weapons will tear a hulk down, no SP lost for ganker, or even just a ganking alt with t1 gear on a rookie ship.

In the last four years I've read a bunch of silly ideas, but this certainly takes the cake. A gank can be whatever you want it to be, it *can* be killboard padding, it can be a contest, it can be for the lulz...

"Ideas" like this really make me want to get -10 again...

But just so you know (for reference) I've been ganked, I've ganked, I've lived in Hi/Low/Null and WH's...

All I can say to you is to be aware of your surroundings, don't fly what you can't afford to lose and if you have tonnes of stuff to move, contact Red Frog Freight...

There isn't anything wrong with ganking that any kind of fix is needed...
