So, i did some gank testing on SISI tonight...and concord came in two seconds sooner than the last time i tested (a week ago)...

It also:
insta neuted (which i think has been there for a while)

insta uber jammed

insta disabled all drones.

Since when was it this bad? And why not mention of improving the response times? Remember where this lack of communicating got you last time CCP...lets try to avoid that road again.

Did you test it in 0.5 through 1.0?

Since i really only worry about ganking in .5-.6 i previously tested response times in those last week...

Now today i notice logs showing 2 seconds quicker response times as well as this whole uber insta neut/jam/disable-drones thing.

This makes some of my alt's gank efforts in .5's almost not so possible on the cheap anymore....2 seconds can be a lot of time for a lower SP pilot to kill or fail.

Currently, THE moment Concord shows up, the gank is DONE, no more "well i might be able to last a couple/few more seconds to get another volley"....its just plain done now, jammed so no more shooting, and drones are 'disabled' so they cease their actions.

Not a huge fan of this.

Probably a fix to the exploit with warping away or abandoning drones.

Awwww poor gankers, Concord has falcons now? Be happy, now you get to feel how nullsec is like when someone brings ECM

while (CurrentSelectedTarget.Status == ShipStatus.Alive) {

     _myShip.FireAllGuns(CurrentSelectedTarget);

}

The changes are likely to be temporary until Crimewatch is sorted out.
Wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason for the changes isn't just the exploit but what Goons / Test have been doing on a far more regular basis.

Really look at how the Riots are, the Police during and after for a bit are far more on-edge and aggressive with their law enforcement ... for good reason too. Crime usually is relatively small scale and manageable, when it become organised there is a good change of pure anarchy... when it becomes safer to live in the Hood / Ghetto (aka Low-Sec) compared to Suburbs (High-Sec) there is an issue and governments SHOULD step in to make sure crime reduces to original levels.

Everyone knows you can't fully get rid of it, and really that isn't something that either players or CCP will want to do as it will hurt the game; but at the same time too much crime also has the same effect. It's about trying to strike that balance.

This kind of post is really bothersome, and plainly shows the attitudes of griefers and gankers.

EvE is a sandbox, which means anything can happen. Anything at all. Griefers preach this on the forums continuously, and for the most part everyone can agree.

The problem comes when the sandbox changes in a way that is disadvantageous to grief players. All of a sudden, the players spewing "it's a sandbox, adapt or die" and "HTFU this is EvE" are the ones crying on the forums about how it's not fair.

HIgh security space is not safe, but it IS patrolled by CONCORD. CONCORD has obviously decided that they need to step up their game, as their efforts to keep crime down are failing. So, it is with great joy that I say to all the grief players out there who feel the need to whine about this possible change:

It's a sandbox, adapt or die.

AND

HTFU.

hate to say this but concord = death, it depends on the sec status, but honestly once concord arrives your dead, hence the fact that theres talk of removing concord for a "death beam" which i think sucks, but honestly its just a matter of fact... btw there is a time difference between 0.5 and 0.6 so make sure u're lining up the exact same setup

The only way out of this madness is letting capsullers police them selves, perhaps with a little help of npc's/

I thought the death beam was not that great an idea. I liked the idea that CONCORD could remotely activate your ship's self destruct.

So basically what you're saying is that the sandbox is still intact.

Cool.
