I quite so happen to know that.. and it was not my intention of having people de-rail the thread with off-topic content. Therefore i made another thread sans-religious stuff. And you're trying to bring it back. Your point?

CCP is a service provider and I am a customer. When they do things I do not like, I let them know my money will not continue to flow as long as I see certain critical issues. I am actually doing them a huge favor by doing this. If I go to restaurant and have a lousy meal, do I complain to the owner? Some may but I do not, I simply cease going to that restaurant any longer. If a mechanic does a poor job or overcharges me for parts or labor, do I complain to the business? No, I just stop using that shop and take my business elsewhere.

I am doing CCP a favor in letting them know what problems I have with their service and how far they can go before I no longer see value in what they provide. This is a good thing. If CCP can’t handle their customer’s responses, they should go cease operations and start working for the government.

Yup, thats about right. You are not only doing them a favor you are doing them a much required service because you like the game and you want to continue enjoying it.

However, your favor to them gets lost amongst seas of negative criticism, off-topic content (ponies, much?), hate threads, real-life threats and et cetera in such a way that it probably will be forever lost and never to be seen. If 85% of your customers are full of crap, 10% remain silent and only 5% say constructive, usefull stuff, can you find the usefull ones without having to go through seas of ****? Maybe CCP Fallout can atest to what i'm talking about? Lol

were I to guess, the point would have been that its against forum rules to re-open threads that the forum moderators have locked.
Usually anyways, but as they havent re-locked this one, guess theyve decided to waive that rule here

…btw, you missed the other huge point of that presentation: the difference in the “points” counting system.

Most notably that :effort: is worth exactly zero points from the wife's point of view, whereas asking “Really, how did that make you feel?” is worth more than all Christmases combined.

I have not re-opened a thread that has been closed by moderation. You are mistaken. Those rules are there for the "good of the community" because some members of the community fail on staying on-topic, and create heated arguments and debates that have nothing to do with what is being proposed or said. I will not debate this matter with you any further. And i suggest that no one does it either.

Thank you for your input.

I think the OP is more understanding/mature than you.
They aren't talking about the game in any way. Has more to do with the way we relate to CCP. Maybe them to us as well but to a lesser extent.

If more people thought like this the forums would be better.

Actually, OP seems to be more grown up than most men i've met (Including you, perhaps?). Don't know if that is the analogy i'd use when talking about us <.> CCP (even though it fits), but that man sure knows how to appeal to a woman ShockedShocked

If more people thought like this the forums would be better.

Alternatively, if less people acted like immature emo's the forums would be better.

Comparing CCP/customers to husband/wife makes me think back to all the other pathetically emo "why don't CCP love us anymore" threads from a few months back. This is a business. People seem to forget that in their haste to be overly emotional.

Nope, I'm well over 20 which is why people who are unable to actually understand that tihs is a game, a business, NOT some kind of emotional relationship seem so damn immature to me.

but hey, if you think a 'real man' should be treating a game devloper like it's a girlfriend, good luck to you.

Ah, it all makes sense now. I apologize. You are not immature.

You just don't know the meaning of the world "Analogy".

And i suspect that you will reply saying that you do, and that the analogy is "fail".

If you think that the OP suggested, or actually thinks that we are in a romantic relationship with CCP then you fail at text comprehension and tongue-in-cheek humour.

Quite shocking that someone well into his 20s doesn't seem to comprehend that its just an analogy. All hes doing is taking another scenario and relating it Eve, I don't think he actually thinks CCP is his husband(maybe though).
