Not at all !

Those are great and increase standings more than the Couriers in most cases.

All Industrialists worth their salt should be trained and experienced in Combat. Be at least able to Solo most Level 4's in a CNR or equivalent.

Contrary to popular belief, at least some of us are not gun averse.

Fair enough. As I've said, I am yet to actually get a L4 combat storyline so I can't really compare, but will take you word for it. Though it just makes me even more sad to pull those courier and mining missions.

But maybe that's a place to make some changes then. I don't see anything wrong with averaging out the standings gain from the various types of missions. After all you still have to do 16 regular missions to get the storyline, so it shouldn't really be possible to suddenly take advantage of it.

Those Combat Storylines are not that easy and should continue to pay out more than the Courier and Mining ones. And higher standings.

Although my biggest standings gain was from a Courier that paid over 30,000,000 and boosted Ammatar Mandate from 4.76 to 5.1 in one go.

I am in a similar boat to Eeio, in that I have never had a combat Storyline mission. I haven't missioned for awhile, but if I remember correctly I wasn't skilled that high (T2 everything but weapons) and was having trouble soloing the tougher level 4's. For the same reason I wasn't getting those tough missions all the time, I wonder if that's why I wasn't getting the "tough" storyline missions?

I would argue that having to haul 40K m3 to lowsec involves its own risks.

But other than I dont really think it matters how difficult it is, as you can still only do one of these missions for every 16 normal ones you do.

If you do Level 4 Securities you should be getting a few at least.

Since a lot of this has to do with random generation as well, a lack of them would be awkward to petition.

Patience is the only real answer here.

Just didn't feel like the risk atm. And it's the only time that one popped up for me ever.

I got another one yesterday anyway with Caldari. It put even my Amarr standing at real 5.0, and I've NEVER run a mission for Amarr Lol (excepting the Ammatar data center Agents which esoterically tie into Amarr standings). Go figure.
