I had a problem a while back with my eve client starting up in the background but never showing up. i fixed it

Today:

I had 2 clients up, moving things around.

My ALT jumped through a JB and the game client faulted upon loading the new system and crashed. ONLY MY ALT CRASHED

I then tried to restart the client and was given an error message:

Your EVE Client installation may have been modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run the repair tool or re-install client.
Verification failed: ...\CCP\EVE\bin\icudt38.dl , crc:a45ba6e8, expected:1483ba41

I ran the repair tool and it didnt fix anything. I ran it again, and it fixed some stuff, but still wont work. I'm about to run it a 3rd time and pray...

Help?

I don't want to re-install my client

I already lost everything a few weeks ago and I just got all my settings back the way I wanted them. CCP please help!!

Old system:

Pentium 4 dual core @ 3.0gz
2+ gig ram
ATI Catalyst Card

Doing it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

error in file : ...\ccp\eve\tq\bin\awesomium.dll

I re-installed the game after it did this the other day. It ran fine until today.

I had already been logged in for a while. 2 accounts logged in. Log one off and try to log it back in a few minutes later and I get this error.

Help would be great, I don't want to re-install AGAIN

Delete the offending file, then run repair.exe. No need to reinstall. Also verify the integrity of the drive Eve is installed to (look for bad sectors/do an intensive scan).

The first time I had the problem, I ran the client repair tool about 4 times and it never worked.

Fortunately, this time I ran the repair tool and rebooted my computer and its working again.

Thanks for the reply, if it does it again, I'll give it a try!!
