Same problem here.

I have set it to "Do not update unless there is a patch"

Someone suggested unchecking "Close launcher when eve is running" and launching multiple clients through the same launcher, but my launcher keeps closing after use, even when this is unchecked

Thank you for reporting this guys, I've sent the Launcher team information on this issue as well as a link to this forum.
It seems something in the launcher update released yesterday caused this, I just hope the Launcher development team manage to get this fixed as soon as possible.

As noted in the OP, you can start the second client from the \CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe to circumvent the launcher.

We knew this yesterday if you actually read the thread.

I can confirm this as well, happens on at least 2 computers. The workaround works fine but I'm sure we'd all appreciate a fix from the launcher team.

I have the same problem and on top of things I've placed all EVE-related programs in a sub-folder called programs. So every time I start the launcher I have to shut down programs like EFT and EVEMon as well :( But at least exefile-workaround works for now :)

Also checking the box 'Skip launcher if no updates' in the launcher configuration screen bypasses this bug.

The launcher is now the one stop shop for opening clients.

Run the .exe for the launcher ONCE and then you can press PLAY as many times as you want to open other clients. Now I don't know how this works if you have separate installations of EVE in other directories but this works and there really isn't a problem that I have been able to see. I have been doing this since the launcher came out without problems. I quite enjoy being able to just open the launcher once and just press play to open more clients.

See if that works for you.

Ok guys, I have a sollution to the problem on logging multiple clients, which worked for me and is as follow:

- Start the eve launcher app at first, no other clients running, just the launcher!!

-Click at the right top cornor, the settings for the launcher app.

- Go to the startup tab

- The two options, 'Only display.... ' and 'Close the Eve Launcher... ' should be turned off and press ok.

- The launcher app will stay on, after clicking on PLay.

- Click on PLay in the launcher again and your 2nd client should start normally.

It worked for me, hope it does for you guys

Enjoy and fly safe! Lol

In your EVE-folder there's a sub-folder called "bin", click that and inside there's a file named ExeFile.exe. Double-click that and you'll start the client immediately avoiding the launcher completely.

By default, in a 64-bit OS, it would be "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\"

It would be greeat if they did not update something that gives access to the game TWO minutes before leaving the office for Holiday without actually checking if it worked.

It appears to for some, as does unchecking "close launcher after launching game"

unfortunately, I have done both, and still am unable to run the launcher for more than 1 client :(

I was hoping todays update would have fixed it
