Over here in Romania, quite a lot of cities have been experiencing high temperatures, even in excess of 30C (86F) in the shade for the past few days. Needless to say, it's starting to get annoying. It started before April was even over !

Yeah we didn't get snow until late this year and almost none of it landed below 5000 ft. We are sitting in the 60's currently and are expected to hit the 70's this weekend, and last week we were already in the high 80's. I wouldn't be surprised if it feels like Arizona up here this summer.

We had a pretty nice start into the Spring here in the UK, but now it is a permanent cloud cover. I am wishing for more sun. Evil

We've had a few nasty days but it's still pretty cold in my part of New England. Actually had an overnight freeze the other night. :\

If this summer is anything like last year's, I'm going to need to grow a set of gills to breathe.

Soon it will be that warm here. God I hope so love it.

Reminds of the days living in the desert 112 and just chilling out side... Mmm like a cozy oven.

I assume you fellas are lacking in AC? Rookie mistake.

It's a very long and convoluted story, but basically, yeah, no AC whatsoever, unless you count a room fan. And windows facing south-westwards. Sigh.

The last few years in central U.S (North Eastern Oklahoma) has been pretty extreme as far as the weather is concerned. But the last year has been really crazy.

Winter 2010 we saw record snow fall 2ft+ which broke my area's previous record by about 9in. I was trapped in my house for about 10 days until enough of it melted so I could get my car to the street.

Summer 2011 we had something like 100days of 110F+ days with no rain during that time. It was one of the worst droughts we've ever had. Literally, everything was brown and dead to the point it looked like Fall in July. The lakes and rivers were really low and there were a few days we didn't have any water. I even remember one day where the heat index was 127F Shocked hottest temp I have ever felt.

Winter 2011 was the first time I can ever remember wearing shorts and a T-shirt from December to February. We had 1 day were it got cold enough to drop 3in of snow which melted the next day when it reached 65F. So we really didn't have a winter and already there have been a few 85-95F days and the month of March was overall the hottest it's ever been.

You should all be gardening like crazy over there. The kind of summer you are going to have means you can probably go with more delicate warm weather plants yet the scourges of those plants being further south means you can grow them easily.

In Florida for example, I could get green softer vegetables to grow extremely easy but the bugs would destroy them, but the same plants in Washington state up on the north border have no predatory bugs (except slugs which is more of a management issue) yet here it's just not warm enough long enough. If Romania is going to have a hot summer, this should be a great growing year.

Typical winter and spring in Atlantic Canada. Summer always takes awhile to kick in here, so can't comment on that yet.

Fun fact: the record for Romania is 44.5 Celsius, during a heat wave in 1951.

Well this follows an especially long and hard period of cold this winter so it equals out, I guess....

Winter was somewhat short over here this year, started pretty late and was generally rather mild (only freezing at night, above zero during the day).
Got a bit harsh (around -25C at night, -15C day) for a short while, but didn't last long, about 3 weeks of cold weather (still below zero during most of the day) and only a couple of weeks of *really* cold weather in late January, early February.

That's not a typical winter around these parts. You usually get 2 months of snow at least, sometimes longer than 3 months, and it usually stays below freezing during the days for most of that time.

No, it was snowing yesterday :(

But south of Norway apparently had decent weather lately, just not in the north.

Tampa, Florida (USA- derrr)

Last Wednesday I went outside for a smoke and had to put on a sweatshirt. Shocked REALLY weirdly chilly.

We already hit our 100's in Phoenix/Scottsdale the past few weeks. It's in the high 90s now, expecting to be back in the 100's next week.

About 75F - 25C (give or take) here in northern Italy. Absolutely wonderful. Been getting tons of rain for some reason, though.
