Do it. Don't be ashamed. Let us all show our foolishness and leet fitting skills. It's for the new generation to laugh at and learn.

August 31, 2007

I misclicked trying to target a WT EUNI griefer in space and shot a station. Turns out, stations don't like that.

I can't find my first loss since it doesn't seem to be recorded. But I was ratting in lowsec in my Incursus. A pirate Ishkur sneaked up on me and scramed me for two minutes begging me to shoot him as he was bored. I refused to entertained him despite his begging. He eventually killed me. I recall going to the forums and asking why I couldn't warp off because it seemed like he had a "tractor beam" on me. Yes, I used those words. I got trolled and people said it was a warp scrambler and that this wasn't Star Trek.

But the loss that eventually got me into PVP was my being ganked in my Mega while running sleeper sites with my corpmates. I was tanking for a while before going down. And I know we could've taken them if one of my guys had a scram. But despite the loss, it was such an adrenaline rush that I knew I would eventually want to get into PVP. Win or lose, I just enjoy the excitement that anything can happen in combat. And every once in a long while, local smack will deliver.

Sorry, but getting killed by a sentry gun for shooting a station in high sec isnt PVP as your title post suggests.Shocked

I think he meant he was trying to target a player but locked the station instead.

After some month in 0.0 my main returned to highsec to do some trade, and to get one of these shiny new Loki T3s.

Autopilot warning about entering blabla dangerous bla low blabla of course were disabled, and while autopiloting this newly bought ship back to corp office, got me a coffee, came back and saw a little gang firing on my 1B investment, which was in structure near 10-15%.

Was a nice explosion ...

Mine was in Ami but it was a long time ago on a character I no longer own so no killmail to post.

I had managed to skill up for a destroyer and killing the rats in high-sec (Kor-Azor, where I was living) was no longer presenting any difficulties. I decided to try a low-sec system because I heard the rats were bigger.

Took a road-trip to Ami, which was the nearest low-sec system to where I was living. Warped to the top belt in my coercer and lived for approximately 30 seconds after that. Some guy came in the belt and started shooting. I didn't even know what he was doing until my ship blew up.

Then he podded me too.

I mentioned it to a friend of mine who also played eve and he had joined a corp in a place called Rorsins (a few jumps from Rancer) and he coaxed me into joining his corp, which I did. I moved down in a shuttle and got blown up again on the Rancer gate by some guy smartbombing in a battleship.

6 or 7 years later Ami is still a pirate hot-bed and the noobs in Rancer still smartbomb the gate. LOL. A lot has changed in EVE but not that.

My first Loss:
Saved up for cormorant, bought it, ran the mission with the POS that dropped all the robotics several times, and saved up for the Ferox. Got into it, and couldn't even use heavy missiles or medium turrets yet. I remedied the situation and went to jita to outfit my new bling. Drew a mission that sent me a couple systems over, and jumped into system, only to see some warning about how i should not be there. My first lesson on faction standing as my ferox was ripped apart by the gallente navy. I was shocked at how quickly I died in my 'undefeatable battlecruiser.' Almost emo-raged-quit there, but figured I had another week left in my trial, I would stick it out...

First PvP Loss:
Jita undock in the Ferox I just acquired a few days after the above loss. Saw a can labled 'free t2 in space' went up to it, saw a BCS, and thought, man what luck... then was webbed, scrammed, and butchered in seconds. Trolled by the aggressors in a group chat, waited the 15 min aggression, jumped in my corm and went out again, they asked me to engage them, and I decided against it. At this point I had two days left, and was planning on emo rage quitting as this now happened twice. Buuuut... decided to see if I could get another one in two days, managed to, and stuck around ever since.

Oh I can't stop laughing about this. Not because of your noob death, but because I can only imagine what kind, gentle and helpful words and advice the eve vets gave you when you called it a tractor beam. "This ain't Star Trek noob!". Hilarious.

By the time my allies noticed and called to not attack it, too late :-p

My first loss was technically my Procurer - Role Play of Club Bear can flipped me and I didn't know what that was. So, in a blind carebear frothing-at-the-mouth rage, I assembled...

my first los in eve was this one:
first loss
it was like first or second day in eve and i get this puzzling message about security and so on; i skipped the message, i jumped in lowsec to run my mission and ofc i was poped and poded. but my funiest lossmail was when i return from a mission in lowsec and i really need to go to pee, so i put the ship to autopilot and when i return to keyboard i saw no ship anymore just my pod on autopilot. in the end was a moros who shoot my stabbed atron but at this time i don't even know wtf is a moros.

First one I can remember: http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=7120065

About 1-2 weeks into the game I got the idea that I'd go out to null and get some of the really nice looking ores. A jump or two into null a pair of gatecamping interceptors gave me a shortcut back to highsec. Fortunately I've learned since then P
