How long did you wait? I'll quote what ccp says about paypal payments:

"If your buddy uses PayPal as his payment method the delivery of your reward will be delayed up to 3 business days pending confirmation of payment."


Its been three days, moreover, she didn't claim that she hasn't yet heard that I'd signed up. She claimed that I signed up with an unauthorized method, which would mean she didn't have to pay me. But I used an authorized method /shrug.


First of all this thread is not for scamming new players CCP will take action against any players reported doing so.

If you did pay via paypal it will show on the buddy system as using a invalid payment type I know this from experience however they will still get the rewards after 3 working days and should honor their part of the agreement.

If they do not then report them again explaining in detail the terms of the buddy program they agreed to and what they have not done to fulfill their part of the deal.

There is a big problem (for inviter) with PayPal payed invites.

If a person I invite pays with PayPal, my invite log claims that he used "non-eligible payment" which is not true. Once CCP does whatever check they want to do for PayPal payments, they will give me PLEX reward manually via redeeming system BUT that log still claims "non-eligible payment" was used.

If I get one PLEX this way, and my invite log shows two or more recent invites with "non-eligible payment", I have no way of knowing who used PayPal and who really used non-eligible payment.

So I will not know who I should be giving the whatever thing I promised after upgrading account.

Don`t tar us all with the same brush

There are many helpful people within Eve, however there are also new players who demand too much (no, not you specifically)

It is true that CCP do not discourage scamming, but it is only allowed ingame, not on the forums

Be aware that petitions can take up to 28 days (depending on importance, or if in incorrect category)

I pride myself in always helping new Eve players, but I don`t ask for payment for it (a lot of corps will help you learn, give you isk, etc, without demanding upfront promises that can be broken)

I have been playing Eve nonstop for over 8 years now, some things have improved, some things less so

Worked like a charm...

I don't know how other invite programs are working out, but I went through Vhei Sambos, and the way everything is set up down to the step-by-step instructions, came out very well for me.

I was already set on subbing to EVE but was wanting to find the easiest way to start as a noob Twisted

I suggest just going through each post/program, and just pick the one that would work best for you...

I received the ISK promised within a few hours of applying subscription code. (I used CC to buy it)

I really recommend using this way to get started with the game. Other than the "obvious" advantage of receiving starter ISK, I was also accepted into a 'Fleet/Corp./Guild ??' that helped out pretty well w/o dumping outlandish requirements on me from day 1...

For those out there who didn't get their ISK right away...Chill out some...give them some time to receive confirmation/sell Plex to get the ISK to give you...took a couple hours for me, and I didn't mind.......STOP BEING GREEDYEvilEvilEvilEvil
