CCP this gift sucks balls - seriously, a set of cruisers? Most and I mean most players can earn what these gifts are worth by killing a few rats in null or low sec. This is a gift for noobs so call it what it is " A Noob gift basket". Just to prove I am not whiny, here is a suggestion: Why can't CCP get an imagination and do something a little harder and provide gifts to characters based on skill points. Such a distinguishment could be useful for other purposes.

Also: Why do people always have to complain about the gifts they get? Where I come from, that is very rude.

Edit: fourth page snipaaaa

I'm pretty sure it's rude everywhere. ;)

Thanks for being space Hobbits and giving gifts on your birthday, CCP. ;)

Will be interesting to hear more about the Amarrmatar book-- or is that Minmamarr... :P

Happy 9th Birthday and gratz.

Yeah, getting free gifts from CCP is nice and appreciated, but getting something special like the Snowball's and Launcher was extremely unique and fun, not to mention it'll always be remembered.

Hell, that was the only time players could attack each other for no reason whatsoever in high sec without getting Concord involved. I felt sorry for Concord so I shot them with the 'Snowballs' too. Each winter I scan the universe looking for that elusive 'Cold Wave', hoping for a chance to re-freeze the melted snowballs stored in station.

Another thing that would be memorable is a chance to get one of the various 'Limited Edition' collector ships that have been previously introduced into the game, such as the rarely seen Interbus Shuttle, the new Quafe Industrial, etc.

Anyway, of all the gifts being offered, this one looks interesting:

A Paxist Treasure - Pax Ammaria - Collector's Item

I wasn't sure what the Pax Ammaria is so I did an Evelopedia search and found this page created by CCP Abraxas:

Something interesting will be here soon ...

Lol

Hope I'm wrong but I imagine the Pax Ammaria will be similar to the Pax Amarria. I have that item and still can't find a use for it in-game.

Sweet, pretty sure I'm in the trailer! I was one of those deimos flying together around the station in 6-cz on sigularity, which is where I'm pretty sure that clip came from.

Per player or per pilot?

Neither - gifts like this are usually per account.

Well, after reading the devblog a few times I eventually found something of (minimal) use, but I seriously wonder why most gifts are suit for characters who weren't around to get the 8th anniversay gift. I am not complaining about getting Free Stuff (TM), but somehow expected that this time there would be something suit for every age and not just newcomers.

I cant' decide. Can someone write up a guide on the value of all these gifts :D

Using NPC prices for skillbooks and current Jita buy prices for everything else:

Fire All Lasers (with Dignity) - 16 mil ISK
Duty, Honor, State (and Missiles) - 17 mil ISK
Deadly Elegance (Drones Extra) - 18 mil ISK
Heavy Iron (Rusted) - 17 mil ISK
Plug and Play - 13 mil ISK
Refine Your Skills - 45 mil ISK
Drill Bits - 31 mil ISK
A Paxist Treasure - priceless

I like the way you say that without a trace of irony.

PS What presents did you give your friends on your birthday?

Now you know how the girlfriend you never will have feels when you forget your anniversary and take her out for a fine dinner at Taco Bell pretending that you really didn't forget and planned this the whole time.

tl:dr give us something useable if your already space rich

is it possible to have something useful if you already have enough isk in your wallet to purchase implants/cruisers/skillbooks etc?

otherwise it just becomes another calculation to figure out which option is worth the most isk : /

remap would be awesome
a useful implant that cant be traded (ie converted into isk)

I'm holding out for Pax Mammaria myself. Maybe for the 10th?

For all the people complaining about free stuff... there will be another option at the bottom "press here to get a refund". I volunteer my wallet for this purpose.
