Anyone else having this issue... I open the launcher, hit play, log in and everything works fine. I alt-tab out, open the launcher and it tells me i need to close eve.exe to update the launcher. needless to say it's kinda hard to log in to my super-sekret alt spy if i can only have one account going at a time. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix for this?

If you want to run multiple accounts, i recommend using symlinks
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_symbolic_link

You install eve in one location, and then create a symlink to that folder (to fool programs into thinking you have multiple copies of eve installeod into seperate folders)

This way you only update one eve client, it only takes up space of one client, yet you have several installation locations and each keeps their own preferences. It also evades problems like the one you're having right now

Had the same thing happening to me.

Under launcher prefs, select (deselect?) the tic that mentions something about only launching the launcher if an update is available, doing that fixed mine.

I would give exact details but my launcher don't launch till an update is available so went by vague memory.. :D

It has also happened to me, it still lets me open multiple EVE clients if I do it really fast! Speed is the key to the prize!

I'm too old to be fast so luckily I found an easy work around till it gets fixed, hope it works for others as well.
