Happy Monday to all of you. What is elitist PVP? Does such a thing even exist here in New Eden? My inquiring mind wants to know.

Isn't it really just the awful pilots looking for a scapegoat as to why they suck and were rejected by their previous corps? Or is there really a threshold that exist when you start to enter elitism? What's wrong with having expectations and standards?

I mean what's wrong with my wanting to fly only with fellow Jin Mei pilots during combat.... Blink

I welcome your philosophical trollish responses.

No such thing as elitist PVP.

There is also nothing wrong with wanting to fly with pilots who knows what to expect from you as well as what you expect from them

Some corps don't want to fly with pilots who they constantly have to check up on when they expect a certain level of compentance. it is just a preference it's not being elitist.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who have higher than necessary expectations but there aren't many of them and are hardly what I would call "elitist".

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

Elite PvP is when corp or alliance has minimum requirement in recruiting such as 45MIL SP to join etc. Generaly these elite PvP groups think of themselves as superior and tend to die in rather hilarious ways once they are hotdroped . Their only salvation is to shake fists in the open vacuum of space and yell "damn blobbers" in local as their wreaks being quicly appropriated by noobs in rifters.

Also, elite PvPers generally have very tasty pods with +5s, never let a pod live! It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get.

I think elitist PvP is Solo/Smallscale pvp fighting an superior enemy.

People usually use elitepvp to talk about alliances that have very high sp/kill requirements, who look down on their lesser blues and numbers based coalitions like the cfc as being inferior. Like the old BoB I guess.

It's a bit of a meaningless term now since people use it to describe anyone engaging with expensive ships or smaller numbers.

Whats funny is every person who fancies themselves "elite" was once a noob that had to learn just like everyone else. A learning curve that only the real gamers get past.

Overview setup?? What?

Angular velocity? Who?

Signature radius.....?

Now their to cool because they have developed the skills and gotten the equipment to beat alot of people and feel above the newer and thus less advanced players. Its human nature but lets remember this is a game.

I could care less about your kill record. What do you have to teach me today?

And by the way, get rid of the minimum SP requirements for your corp your not that special. Take a noob and show them. If they're a box of rocks fine then deny them, but dont place prerequisites.

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

Good question:

Elitist PvP - to me is when a group has SP requirements and cry like babies, then corp kick when you lose a ship or twenty.
This type of player does not 1v1 or fight fair odds. They will only engage with overwhelming odds in their favor.

Elite PvP - is when you fight against the odds, without booster alts or a head full of implants.

When booster alt BC's/T3's have to be on grid for their bonuses to apply - Eve PvP will change for the better.

What's wrong with skill requirements and kicking people out if they're hardheaded and refuse to learn from mistakes?

Can you fly a Burst and fit T2 Blasters?

Yes?

You are ready for 'Elite PVP'.

SP requirements are a bit silly, but people should be expected to use standard fittings and the right types of ships and so-on if they're going to be doing fleets. That shouldn't discount lower sp people from gangs - interceptors, covops and dictors are relatively easy on skillpoints and are always useful.

I guess when you do really small gangs or solo you have to fit your ships well and play decently or you just die repeatedly.

Elite PVP is Muad 'dib in a tengu.

WOLFY was pretty elite, and not in the negative way that some people use it.

Loren is pretty elite, although I think he might use some figgitory in high sec PVP. Not sure though. Yes I'm biased he killed my shiney mission T2. Still I fly with him, no hard feeling.

Having standards is fine. Being a kaksukr is not reguardless of your standards. I'm against boosters in 1v1's. But to each his own, cause I'll prolly own you anyways! I be leet!

P.S.

Deen Wispa is cool guy and can rock a rupture. Just the other day I saw him own a bunker in one :-)
