I don't think we'll see nearly the level of exploits we've seen in the past, mostly because the gifts are relatively mundane. Nice to have free stuff nonetheless, and I hope we see more people flying t1 cruisers again.

I'd like to know this too. If it is the same, that's a bit lame. I like unique items for gifts and if all we're offered is items already in the game, that's not very exciting at all.

Don't get me wrong - I like free stuff. But the current gifts are a bit like getting toiletries at Chrstmas - nice to have because I won't need to buy shower gel for another month, but I'm not going to hang it on the wall for all to see.

I have a specific comb for my beard.

Someone give me a damn permaban so i quit this game and get my life back.

Other than that great dev blog and of course thanks for the free stuff in advance.

I'm torn between "Refine Your Skills" (good value and I didn't really train those skills) and "A Paxist Treasure" (ooohhh rare and shiny thing that might be worth something in a while).

Probably going to go with "Refine Your Skills" seeing as it has the greatest short term value.

I noticed each of your gifts seems at least somewhat tailored to a profession. Is this one a gift to scammers as well as collectors?

thanks ccp, I'm glad I've stuck around for so many years, can't wait for eve to hi that magic goal you laid out for us 4-5 years ago at fanfest. it seems like you're only a year or two away from getting to your future vision of eve!

I want to start this by saying I have a lot of respect for everyone at CCP for their hard work and I'm only pointing out this contradiction to show you a blind spot in your current development strategy.

In the same post where you say its us players - the things we do and our stories is what makes eve, you show a video of stimulating in-game footage that excite people about this game that is impossible for any of us to create at the same level while doing these amazing things

I suggest you seriously consider implementing a session recording / replay studio (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=102696&find=unread) for us to create visually stimulating reports of our adventures to show our friends. Most of the videos that I can show means nothing to my friends - I always get the same response ("that looks terrible", "I have no idea whats going on there"). They think the emotion you get from this game is like other games, the graphics and the scripted story and seeing it through our eyes as were playing the game doesn't help anyone. On that note, Kudos to the people that have figured out ways to make their high quality youtube videos work around this (i.e. the rooks and kings guys)

At least consider having a multi-threaded bitmap/avi export feature that exports what we see (maybe minus our UI) at a steady frame/quality rate as were playing as a band-aid/baby step

I think it's obvious you will see a huge increase in new customers as soon as our higher quality videos hit the internet
