EVE New Citizens Q&A

This just happened to me right before server shutdown, i was doing those starter career agent missions when in one of the missions i am given there are kernite nodes, i quickly ask in the help channel if i could jump in there and mine all those asteroids untill depleted, i was told i could do it as long as i didnt abandon the mission, the prob came when i tried to do it with the retriever on my other alt on another account, so i formed fleet with my two accounts but there was no way the account with the retriever could locate the char that was in the location of the kernite nodes, so i left the kernite area to see if this was somekind of measure from ccp to avoid players from taking advantage of mission asteroids but still my main char could not locate the alt even when he was outside the mission area, however my alt which has lower skill points could locate(set destination to) the main char that was in his retirever.
What you normally do when in fleet is just right click->fleet->set destination right? but why wasnt this option available for the main char and yes for the alt char?

Make sure both characters are in the same system.

On your mining character, select your mission character from your fleet channel.

Fleet -> warp to member within 0m
