Guess I need a step by step guide for the posters:

1) please print out the original message and underline every time I said expansion.
a) you have marked nothing, go to 2
b) talk to your primary school teacher and ask your money back
2) You think there was no release.
a) Please lookup the word release.
b) Talk to your middle school teacher and ask your money back
3) You think nothing new and exiting came with the release of 1.6
a) Please read on http://community.eveonline.com/updates/patchnotes.asp (ps. Word released is used there too )
b) Your are entitled to have your own opinion
4) The online averages dropping by ~3000 per day means nothing.
a) Having a subscription to average online ratio of about 8, 3000 less means 24000 subscriptions or > 240k $ per month
b) if you feel this is nothing, please contact me, I give you the number of my bank account.
5) It is the normal fluctuation or good weather, summer session, new game released ...
a) possible, than I find it odd that some cool new stuff won't see some players trying them out
6) time will tell

The Incursion nerf has worse then decimated numbers at least in HI SEC. I predict AT LEAST a hexi- to pentimation of incursion runners & subscription losses. Dunno if NULL & LO sec will see same losses in incursions yet.

Good, we need less people in highsec.

Do you smell what the Lock's cooking?

ps, just an update. Online numbers keep falling with twice the speed normal for this season. Check it for yourself. We soon reach the numbers from last summer of rage, if it goes on like that.

CCP have just been on a bot banning spree, its kind of to be expected. Especially since this time the bot bans are on going.

Nope. They're surprisingly stable for being springtime.

He does however miss to mention the seasonal ups and downs. Not that I am denying the influence of Incarna ... I am far from it.
Well, the influence of Incarna is very easy to see since the normal seasonal movement during summers is for the numbers to go up slightly — with Incarna, they sank like a rock.

Confirming CCP's new expansions are a horrible idea and players have been leaving the game in... Oh wait, sorry, that was Incarna! People seem to be coming BACK since CCP changed direction....

P.S.
The monthly and weekly average still looks pretty stable.

Since you decided to overlook what I wrote, I'll repeat it for you again, 'during the 4 years I've been playing....' I'm talking about from the middle of 2008 to present day.

Anyway, you got it backwards, there's been short spurts of large growth followed by a long steady decrease in player numbers.

Looking at the chart, from the middle of 2008 to the middle of 2009 overall had a continuous steady growth for most of that year. The middle of 2009 is the base reference point showing the longest stretch of time with a steady low amount of players..

Each consecutive growth spurt after that has been short lived but each one has increased in amount compared to the previous growth spurt. Probably due to good advertising, PR work for expansions, word of mouth, etc.

Each consecutive growth spurt has been followed with a larger initial drop followed with a steady gradual decrease in numbers bringing it back down around the initial low reference point of 2009. Probably due to various bugs, broken content, people being disillusioned by the PR advertising, etc.

Looking at the chart, from 2006 to the middle of 2009 there was definitely steady growth. Middle of 2009 to 2011 it was sporadic and short lived but each one was exponentially larger than the previous one. 2011 overall was definitely a fast steady decline in numbers.

hehe a nice summary until you factor in the fact that this guy is all mad about wis.

Man tell him I said OUCH

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.
