Very dramatic statement. A bit unnecessary. There are a few points against, most important being cloning technology is serious expensive, but available to non-eggers. Might have to find person with same ideas about living forever, because it is not for everyone. But that is the case for eggers and baseliners alike. Is one more mine in relationship minefield to worry about, but it was pretty large to begin with.

Ladies; if you are under the impression that female capsuleers are immune to the (very clearly existing) capsuleer psychological effects, you need to take a close look into the mirror and maybe talk to a spiritual adviser / psychological counselor / insert culturally appropriate equivalent here.

Seriously.

How deluded you have to be to think you are protected based on your gender alone? Or that all men are prone based on theirs? This is not a gender issue, it is an issue of personal integrity. I am sorry if your close associates in space do not include good men, but maybe with the way you speak about them you need to consider if you have something to do about it yourself.

Please read my post again from start to finish (without skipping sections) before drawing inaccurate conclusions. I quite clearly included females including myself in my theory.

EDIT: I'll make it easy for you and quote myself and highlight it:

Quote:
Agreed. My theory is the capsule has some sort of psychological effect on men, causing a shift toward aggressive primal tendencies so affectionately termed "psychotic idiot". I'm sure females suffer a similar issue, which likely explains why so many Capsuleer women act like baseliner men instead of a proper lady... myself included.

Somehow I'm having a hard time believing this. My guess is that your bark is much worse than your bite.

No, no, encourage her! I'd love to see her box Verone.

Or Hakatain-haan. That would be amusing.

Cloning technology may be, but infomorph technology is not available.

Or has not been available, rather. Nation has managed to make everyone in its ranks an infomorph, and thereby has beaten death.

The only reason it isn't being spread out amongst the rest of the cluster is that we have seen what you would do with it. We cannot, in good conscience, give you the means to beat death without you having first realized the wisdom of limiting your available choice of action for the good of everyone.

I hope, one day, we can feel like this has been achieved, so that we can share Nation's Gift with you.

Point is, I find that many of the physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually integral men are baseliners. Plenty of Capsuleer men exist that have a few of these traits - it would be ridiculous for me to state otherwise. Indeed, I am sure there are many that get large ticks in all four boxes - but they don't compete with the numbers of female Capsuleers that would seek a relationship with one of their male peers.

This is not my own impression. Your reasoning assumes that the number of female capsuleers being somehow more intelligent, integral (etc), is higher than their male counterpart, which is totally absurd.

But I think that Ms Rhiannon already adressed the issue better than I did... This is not really my field of expertise either.

I personnally find that at least as many female capsuleers can be termed as "psychotic idiots".

I believe that someone made the comment of how there exists the epidemic of 'Space Lesbians'. From there the Thread divulged into a female perspective of why the epidemice exists, hence I think it is quite apparent why you're getting that tone from the thread, especially with the ratio of women responding.

Women most certainly aren't excluded from the psychological effects of being a pod pilot, but I also think that it's naive to think that there is no disparity between men and women. It looks like female capsuleers are having no problems pairing off with each other.

It could also lead us to a disturbing theory : if only females have a tendancy to form couples even against their own sexual tendancies (heterosexual) while men do not, what does that show ? Hormonal excess ?

I do not believe in this theory, though, it sounds silly.

I'm not even sure why people, especially us, bother to cling to any particularly strong notion of physical identity. Has being infomorphs not cast aside such notions? Have we learned nothing from the dream-walk? A shame, truly.

I joyfully await the day such silliness is behind us and our souls can dance together.

What makes you think that infomorph tech is not available somewhere else than in Nation networks ? That sounds very arrogant, and quite untrue (Prime example : Zainou's CEO).

For one, I never made that particular claim.

Secondly, I hardly think pointing towards empirical evidence is absurd.

The correct question is : how much does it cost for you ?

Gonna write that one down for future reference.

I am a heterosexual female, and never thought about appreciating the beauty of other females until I read your manuscript. I suppose you are on to something, as I find myself now complimenting my female friends about how I feel about their physical appearance. Or I now tell my women friends how my body reacts to their subtle sensualities (I found watching my best woman friend brush her hair was pleasing to me, and I let her know with a playful smile).

But in truth, I can only see myself sexually with men...perhaps this will change in time...

I should add a final caveat, and that is until very recently I was a slave in Amarr space, and had very little interation with other women and no female friends. Closeness to other women is very new to me...Ive been more wired to respond to men.

Oh uh no, I just meant that my empirical evidence just tells me that the amount of women afflicted by the same flaws that everyone stated above is nothing less than the amount of men sharing said flaws.
