Hey guys, im still quite a new guy in eve. But ive declined so many missions level 4, simply because of mission aggro being a biiiig issue in some of em.

One mission you sleep your way through, some exciteing, and another as example "Intercept The Saboteurs" I was close to loosing my mach (only fly what you can afford to loose, i know), only because i allready pre allinged to random stargate and warped before i got scrambled, id probably would have lost my ship, just like the dudes vargur in the comment page on EVE survival. And many times the groups that "dont" aggro, aggro the entire room.

Is it supposed to be like that? going from hero to zero?, is it supposed to be this risky without warning?. Because its defently not the mission reward that states the difficulty.

Its not that i dont enjoy the adrenalin kick...but...easy does it xD

Fly with ECCM if you're going up against Guristas and make scramming/webbing frigates priority targets.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I suspect a need for more support skills and T2. I fly a Mach and "intercept the saboteurs" is pretty easy. Keep in mind, some ships are better for some missions. When in my Mach I turn down "Silence the Informant and "Stop the Thief" because of the multiple webs/scrambles. A stationary Mach does not fare well. In a drone or missile boat with more tank no problem.

Once you run the missions a number of times, you will know which best suit your ship and visa versa.

Thanks for the replies. I guess i have to check/recheck out my support skills. The fit is T2 tho.

The careful way to do Intercept the Saboteurs is to first check it on eve-survival.org.

Kill right group, kill far left, kill center left. This leaves only the group with the transport ships. If the whole room does aggro, a Mach with an AB can kite em all anyhow. For more range use barrage. Just make sure you pop agents/spies first.

Let your light drones handle any stuff that gets close.

Despite flying a Mach, it really looks like you're missing DPS / TANK.

Easy numbers to keep in mind is DPS + TANK about 1000. Use any fitting tool to check that out (EvEHQ, EvEFit, etc).

In short, if you don't have T2 guns, that means a LOT of things. First that your DPS is a bit lower, but second and most importantly, that you probably don't have several support skills, thus you don't hit that well and do less damage.

Then, there is the "know wtf to hit first". Some missions you hit A and aggro ABCD. But if you hit C then you only aggro C and D.

Finally, tank is a matter of gameplay, as you might need more or less, but usually, about 500 tanked DPS AGAINST THAT KIND OF RAT is enough. I say that because if you're shield tanking, 500 DPS against Angel might be enough, but if you're omni tanking (which is bad / wrong for missions) then you'll have about 300 against Sansha, and bye bye you.
