I am writing to let you know that GSF scouts have recently seen you hauling in the Jita system. You've no doubt heard of Goonswarm's upcoming "Burn Jita" event, during which CFC heroes will be camping the Jita 4-4 undock and destroying both freighters and orcas.

Publicly, we have announced that the event will take place this weekend starting on 4/28. I have been authorized to disclose that this was a lie, intended to hide our true purpose. Burn Jita will not be limited to a single weekend - Goonswarm will be ganking freighters in Jita for the entire month of May.

Allowing select individuals to opt-out is our way of ensuring that we continue to have access to well-stocked markets in empire. You can read more about the opt-out program here For a one-time fee of 250M, you will be allowed free passage through Jita during the month of May. In the unlikely event you are accidentally targeted, you will be fully reimbursed for your loss.

As an official representative of the opt-out program, I would be happy to get your name on the list. Please send a payment of 250M to "List Processing Inc" [CLISP] with the reason "burn jita opt-out" from each pilot you wish to put on the list, no later than April 28th.

man, I really have to reconsider playing this game.

Not because I can't use jita which I do not give a crap about. Rather because I got no idea after several years of military service, I come to play a game I like and enjoy, to see some people making a huge operation drama out of it.

Those guys live for this stuff isn't it ? That's so sad. Really... I come online to play, pvp around, have some great fights and then I read this stuff ?


The only good thing out of jita ganking is that you will get less local spamm from all those scammers. But surely this OP if going on for too long will cause people to actually quit playing this game, especially since most do not even read the forums, this will cause CCP to lose subscribers and money, really now, if that is Goon's goal, go ahead, does not have to be me telling you that CCP will not allow this for too long.

I for one think that the Burn Jita situation is god damn hilarious and it's the most aggressive show of force and power I have seen in Eve since I started playing. It truly shows that with enough power in Eve, you can basically do whatever you want, and not even High Sec carebears are safe. As for those crying about the situation, I would guess the only way to stop this event would be to cause a scenario that would call for the participants to stop Burning Jita and to direct their forces elsewhere, such as trying to defend their own or an Ally's SOV. (maybe)

All in all, Burn Jita is awesome and I love the Daopa feed for it.
