I have to say what's happening with TES these days? is Skyrim really that epic that spawned all this surge on TES stuff?

They have made TES ... amusing. Not a bad move for a single player game, but this is all what has been happening. It is good fun and sells like candy. It has got dragons in it, swords, horses and magic, and special abilities like the Fus-Ro-Da shout that lets you blow NPCs through the air. The series has woken up to commercialisation and much to the despair of a few hardcore fans. One can play it on the PC and on the consoles.

As a Daggerfall player , that loved Morrowind and abhorred Oblivion ... yes.

Skyrim is simply the next step in mass produced media entertainment for the masses.

Its still TES though, but with a few twists.

Love it or hate it, its way better than Oblivion anyway. Oblivion only shines with heavy modding. So Im waiting for community to keep pumping out the mods for Skyrim. STEAM move to make mods part of their whole infrastructure when dealing with Skyrim has perhaps opened the eyes of several newcomers to the series of the wonders and superiority of PC gaming over Consoles, but as usual, consoleers outnumber us PC gamers perhaps 100 to 1 .

If you havent tried it, wait for a year and get it on sale, all AAA GOTY games go on sale for steam for cheapz!

I just hope they get rid of the console interface in PC version and mod an interface suit to pointing devices. What?

Been taken care of long ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dZl5Iujsbk

Additionally there's a categorized favorites menu mod that gives it the same treatment.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qnjTbHOTwI

At this point if you can think of it, it's been modded into skyrim or is likely on its way (lengthy post incoming).

Ponies:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HJCaZaF_TE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCP9Jn2Q0cQ

Then the weapon variant expansion which just adds so much variety to the game:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10902
This mod actually adds more gameplay variety as well because shield type actually changes how you can approach combat. Small shields and bucklers offer less protection, but weigh less, large shields near completely protect you but also completely block your view of anything from near the center to left of your screen, so you can't actually see what's attacking you unless you lower the shield or turn which in turn exposes your right side.

And the Better shrouded armor mod required whenever I play dark brotherhood:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12015

The live another life alternate start, enhancing the experience for anyone who even lightly roleplays:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9557

Finally, the very promising project legacy mod:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RsH6AvO5E8

Then there's of course PISE and Deadly Dragons.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3829

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1269

There are just too many mods available to mention all the absolute must haves in one reasonable post, and we're only what 6 months off from the launch of the game and a couple months past the release of the creation kit? I can just imagine all the console players out there viewing a fully modded skyrim in November for the first time and reacting as though they've seen some sort of divine miracle.

I'm getting goosebumps when I hear people sing Skyrim songs in dragon language:

The Dragonborn Comes - Skyrim Bard Song and Main Theme Female Cover‬

Skyrim- Peter Hollens & Lindsey Stirling

Modding scene was huge back in Morrowind and it has grown bigger with Oblivion and will grow even more with Skyrim - it's basically free content for hundreds of extra gameplay hours. So getting Skyrim for PC is totally worth it!

With modding you can make something like this: The Great Battle of Skyrim

If you want to dive into the The Elder Scrolls lore, you should head out to Imperial Library and The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages. Once you master all that information you'll start to see how complex the background is for the Skyrim's story and you'll start to see how some game items and events have connections to previous games' events... and there's usually some hidden clues about future events (ie. about upcoming expansions and about the series next game) as well.

I just love that girl, with the weird name. Have her mp3 songs on my Ipad for relaxation. The only thing I enjoy from Skyrim is that it has brought a lot of people on board to the genre.

I just cant wait to laugh though, when EA decides to either buy BETHESDA (and crap the series for all of us) or decides to bring a new revolutionary (in their heads) Skyrim clone with real life exploration (included only in the dlc) and super endings (again, in the dlcs)

Also please if you like anything skyrim, PLEASE watch this, you will never regret it
