Other ways out

Don't get me wrong; scanning for a new exit/entrance every other day is not that time consuming, but what if there were another way to leave/enter the wormhole?

Acceleration Gates fling ships into a deeper space in various systems that sometimes require a second acceleration gate to get out because warp is no longer available. So, why can't wormhole dwellers have the same thing; a gate that is inside the -1.0 space, that allows them to be flung to another gate that is residing outside.

A static exit/entrance would just be, I think, a brilliant addition to the wormhole lifestyle; it would be the poor man's jump bridge.

Of course, there would be security safeguards; corporation only, passwords, etc, etc.

Could be worth considering.

There's one method to enter, and two to leave.

More than enough in my opinion.

Only if the Stargate has 1mil hp, is destroyable, costs 4bil in tech goo to build, requires stront to keep running and can be camped. Also shiny killmail.

And I will personally dedicate all my accounts to killing as many of those "EASY button" gates as I can manage.

Is *not* worth considering...

Bob is the god of Wormholes.

Wow, never thought I'd be gang raped about my thoughts and ideas.

If you dedicate all your accounts to killing, then I'll just have to do the same.

See you in game.

One way in; two ways out!

Unless you forgot a scanner.

Then only one way out.

Troll? If not, I sure wish it was. Go live in nullsec if you want static gates, and occasional probing. None of us want that shit.

There are actually THREE ways out of w-space: probing your way out, dying, and and the third way out is by having your account inactive for six months.

i dont think there should be an easy way out or a damn stargate...

however, jump capible ships should be able to jump to other holes provided they are close enough and and have cyno avil...

the wormholes should be mapped in relation to known space... they themselvs dont move just the exits/destination...

that will make for some real cap ship blobbing...

better then an easy button its like a scary button Shocked

You're making the assumption that a WH system is readily accessible via ships with jump engines. If I recall ;-) jump engines require fuel, and given the "unknown" part of WH space (as in we don't know HOW FAR they are from your current position), I'm all for allowing caps to "jump" into wormholes given to possibilities:
1) You run out of fuel somewhere between point A and point B, stranding you forever in that location. You don't have any fuel, so you can't jump BACK and you can't jump FORWARD
2) You complete a jump with the chance of landing smack-dab in the middle of a Sleeper Capital outpost: 20-30 Sleeper capitals, a few super caps, 300-400 battleships, and a few thousand smaller ships.

You're assuming too much in your idea; perhaps refine that idea. And the idea of "mapping" all WHs is just bad in my mind. You're removing the Unknown part, which is most of the flavor of this (I never use cheat sites, either).
