Out of Game Events and Gatherings

I was there... but the event was crap for the following reasons:

- The venue is too small
- The venue layout was not appropriate
- The audio system was total crap, I could not hear anything even standing very close to the speaker (person)
- The presentation didn't have much to it for what I could hear

Players:

- I have now realised that most eve players are very nice people, however a number of people are as trolls in real life as they are in the game
- Some of these trolls have very low IQ and don't give a s**t about people like me who are interested in listening to CCP, you just keep talking loud to disturb others

I was hoping to get a Dust key but didn't see any. I was there just for this.

So next time CCP, I suggest to organise the event a lot better than this. I think you expected 20 people instead you had 200 or maybe more.

Thanks very much for coming all, I had a brilliant time and enjoyed listening to some of the news that was announced.

The venue was brilliant and very accomodating … I doubt they had too much time to prepare for hundreds of eveonline players to descend on them with very little warning.

My apologies to CCP Soundwave, the Tia Maria and Guiness was not my idea.

Venue size was about right for the volume of players, room was busy, but still possible to move around. Sound system was no use at all. I arrived part way through what I imagine was a Q&A session, but on moving round the room, there was nowhere where I could clearly hear what was being asked or answered. So if there ware any bombshells, can they be repeated here? I think this caused an increase in the overall noise levels as people were chatting amoung themselves away from the presesentation area. This was not a formal presentation, just a few devs standing on stage with a beer and a microphone.

Got to chat to CCP Guard and CCP Soundwave for a few mins, did not get to speak to CCP Unifex but could see him in the distance being mobbed .

Was presented with a free drink voucher from the organiser (thanks!).

Piicked up a leaflet that was lying on a table for eve-online-london

Chatted to several players, everyone friendly as usual.

Waiting for the next one

Next time do a tour. Glasgow,Bristol,Birmingham,Plymouth etc etc etc. Those of us who live hundreds of miles from the capital would like to say hi.

PS Plymouth is closest decent size city to me.

Just got home after what was an amazing night. Great venue, great people, horrible singing and a Dust beta-key.
Looking forward to round two!

It's always hard to get it right the first time, I recognise that. My assessment is objective and not a trolling as you say. What I am saying to CCP is next time plan better. At least half of the people had to stand not having where to sit.

I look forward to the next event and hopefully it will be better delivered. Also I look forward to more content being provided and better organisation of Q&A where there is a corner dedicated to asking questions.

Think about those standing, a higher stage would be appropriate.
Next time bring EVE T-shirts and other EVE stuff that people can buy.

Would someone from CCP kindly not give the above person a key since they seemed to have missed the point of the event.

In other news, had a great time... Seems I ended up as king of tequila and champagne with the amount I was buying for everyone! Thankfully I missed the hangover.
