Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I have used the left alt key for many years for ventrilo voice activation but today pressing the key no longer works while the Eve client is the active window. I saw that eve uses the left alt key to choose next target, which i disabled. But it still doesn't work.

I tried it with Teamspeak and it works fine. So then I looked at Ventrilo settings and could not find anything obvious. I unchecked the 'use direct input to detect hotkey' and that did not cure the problem.

Other programs seem to pass the keystroke along just fine, just Eve does not.

Two new changes to my computer; a new motherboard install and the eve patches. Is anyone else having a similar problem? I suspect the issue is on my side.


I cannot find a reason from either change by fishing around the various menus within eve, ventrilo or the new audio manager ... does anyone have any ideas?
